August 20 2009, the U.S. Senate gave the Alberta Clipper pipeline the green light. Unfortunately by allowing them to "legally" build more pipelines, they caused far more pollution and gave the top Oil corporations a reason to not do anything about to change their environmental direction. More pipelines, means far more barrels of Dirty Oil from the Tar Sands... 5 times more dirty Oil, and may very well be the tipping point Environmentalists were worried about.
