This week we feature a conversation with one of the truly great investigative journalists of our time, Max Blumenthal. To guarantee his independence as a journalist he founded the Grayzone Project (thegrayzone.com), which allowed him to cut ties with the controlling corporate media. Because of that, his reporting is less exposed in main stream media, which too often refuses to accurately cover such areas as Venezuela, Syria, and of course Palestine. His books include The 51 Day War: Ruin and Resistance in Gaza (2015), Republican Gomorrah: Inside the Movement that Shattered the Party (2009), Goliath: Life and Loathing in Greater Israel (2013), and The Management of Savagery: How America's National Security State Fueled the Rise of Al Qaeda, ISIS, and Donald Trump (2019). So here is the intrepid Max Blumenthal in conversation with Michael Spath of the Indiana Center for Middle East Peace.
Begun in 2004, This Week In Palestine (a weekly 8am feature of Truth and Justice Radio (TJR) is an award-winning 45-minute (or more) segment of news from Palestine and discussion of issues relevant to the Palestinians' struggle for freedom from Israel's brutal military occupation and colonization of their homeland. It speaks from the point of view of Palestinians and those who care about them. TJR has been aired Sundays 6-10am ET on WZBC 90.3FM, Newton, MA, also streamed live and archived for two weeks at wzbc.org; TJR's modest website, truthandjusticeradio.org, has a link to This Week In Palestine's permanent archives back thru 1-6-2008. TJR sometimes airs Palestine coverage IN ADDITION to that provided by This Week In Palestine. We hope you'll write to us at tjradio@fastmail.com if you rebroadcast our work, or have questions or comments.
