BCfms weekly Politics Show presented by Tony Gosling with Irish Republican Labour activist Martin Summers has been forced off FM, now online only, being rested due to the pandemic on 24 March 2020 by BCfm charity boss Pat Hart. This Internet only NOT The BCfm Politics Show is now available 17:00-19:00 live on Fridays. Pat Hart has replaced us with a dumbed-down show called The Bristol Agenda. If youd like to request our reinstatement you can contact the BCfm board and manager here.
We have been ready to go live on BCfms FM server remotely, awaiting the go-ahead from Pat Hart since 16th March. Initially we were told In the light of government and Ofcom guidance Pat Harts team decided not to broadcast discussion or political shows that might put the FM licence at risk, because they dont want the burden of dealing with potential Ofcom complaints. As it turns out bad health and medical advice came from official government decisions and announcements which we weret able to criticise on FM and thousands are dead unnecessarily. Now weve been told a wider reorganisation is underway and this show may be allowed to return to FM in November 2020.

Local elections WILL be taking place in May. Three main candidates in the Mayoral election in Bristol.

UK Broadcast Media Moving To Orwellian Propaganda Model: BBC reps – dumb down - Chinas English Language CNTV licence removed, censored by Ofcom. JOURNALISTS fear that new BBC-imposed format for local radio will mean hard and investigative news being played down in favour of lighter, “fluffy” stories and more entertainment. National Union of Journalists (NUJ) representatives from local radio stations across England said the new format will result in less robust political reporting holding those in power to account. News reporters will be allocated additional duties which could include music scheduling, creating entertainment-based features and creating non-news material. NUJ national broadcasting officer Paul Siegert said: “Local radio news is about connecting with local communities. “It is about reflecting their lives and producing warm-hearted human interest stories. “But it is also about holding local politicians, businesses, health trusts and schools to account. “Our reps in local news believe the new format will downplay ‘serious’ news and are deeply concerned. “BBC management needs to answer these questions about the future of local radio news content.” Director of BBC England Helen Thomas said: “Providing local news and information is at the heart of what our local radio stations do and always will be. Any suggestion otherwise is completely untrue and misleading. Right now, the need for local news has never been greater and I’m proud of our teams in local radio.”

NI – Loyalist terrorists – police barracks  PMQs Ian Paisley Jr – article 16 and Brexit borders with Northern Ireland. Northern Irish politics and history. Loyalist paramilitary groups in NI have 12,500 members There are an estimated 12,500 members of loyalist paramilitary groups in NI, a leaked security assessment has shown. Briefings, obtained by BBC NIs Spotlight programme, cover all the paramilitary groups and are based on PSNI and MI5 intelligence. The assessment says there are about 7,500 people in the UVF and 5,000 in the UDA. Although many are not active, sources say they are still "card carrying" members. Last month, the Independent Reporting Commission (IRC) warned paramilitary groups still pose a "clear and present danger" to Northern Ireland. Set up by the UK and Irish governments, the Commission provides an annual assessment of progress towards ending paramilitarism, and has called for a process to begin to disband the groups. History of the UVF The Ulster Volunteer Force murdered more than 500 people during the Troubles in Northern Ireland. It was formed in 1966 and adopted the names and symbols of the original UVF, the movement founded in 1912 by Sir Edward Carson to fight against Home Rule. The UVF was formed with the express intention of executing known IRA men. But its first victims, a Protestant woman and two Catholic men, had no connections with the IRA. The murder of Peter Ward, the third victim, brought the UVF and its then leader Gusty Spence to public attention. Spence was later convicted of the murder and sentenced to 20 years in prison. The UVF was involved in various atrocities during the Troubles, including the bombing of McGurks Bar in Belfast, the sectarian killings of the Shankill Butchers, and the Loughinisland massacre. It has also been embroiled in feuds with other paramilitary organisations including the LVF and the UDA. Only last year, a former leader of the Progressive Unionist Party Dawn Purvis said the UVF had not gone anywhere despite decommissioning its weapons in 2009. In recent years, it has been linked to serious criminality including drug dealing. That recommendation is now backed by former Secretary of State Lord Mandelson. He has spoken to Spotlight about talks he was involved in with the UVF leadership, earlier this year.

‘Hold Authority to Account’ new weekly satirical blog about Bristol mayors weekly Soft Talk Fireside Chats on the One Love Breakfast show, hosted by his chum and BCfm CEO Pat Hart who took Tony Goslings weekly Politics Show off air - which anti-union Labour mayor Marvin Rees, refused to ever appear on -  by anonymous former FM listener ‘The Central Scrutinizer’ bigtree287765204.wordpress.com - BCFM One Braincell Breakfarce show. 27.Jan .21 Just before 8am Tony Hart was moaning. Apparently Marvin Rees had sent him a text. What’s more it was critical of Hart for bulling Scarlet, a trainee, while on air. Hypocritical from the start, Rees is consistant if not alot else. It was only on this very show on 30th December, 2021 that Rees publicly live on air was rude and disrespectful to Sam, another trainee broadcaster. Boss man Hart put his feet up and enjoyed the luxury of leaving the lovely Sam to graft while he took a Christmas break. This was appreciated by the listeners of the community radio at what can be a lonely time for many, particularly due to travel restrictions. Thought the show we were told mayor Marvin would be calling in. However he did not. By the end of the show it was possible to hear the upset and disappointment in Sam’s voice as she was stood up live on air. Instead of enabling a trainee reporter get some valuable work experience. Paranoid Marvin was fearful of an encounter with an unknown journalist. Whilst many others were working to keep the city running, this most pointless salaried spiv could not be even bothered to inform Sam he wouldn’t have a chat with her for half an hour. How ungallant can you get ? So when Marvin comes on air today for ‘A chat with Pat’ its – did you see the Connor McGregor fight at the weekend ? No I did not see the Liverpool team get the same treatment as the Liverpool mayor by being shown up, defeated and being found unfit for purpose. I missed it all Pat – the kids were helping me with my study so I don’t lose another 50 mill with our municipal bank. Pat, sticking to what he knows goes on, football, football football. Marvin says he’s not a good loser and reminds Pat he used to be a boxer. Back to Connor McGregor, win or move quotes Marvin who says that rugby is too violent while letting it be known he’s been reading The Art of War and name dropping the boxing coaches he’ got through, jimmy Roebottom, Jimmy Hill and Larry. Then Connor McGregor – Win or move in. Which Rees quoted. Gappling an striking. Rees likes the way he loses – will be attempting to replicate this in May, if not sooer. He’s in the money game – just like me. Got to do what got to do. Patron of Empire cause I’m a great admirer of that buisness model – expansionism, superiority, benevolent tyranny, no fighting chance. Hart – men and women as they grow up -drown in the channel. Rees – self disipline. 13-14 sense of self but lets get back to talking about me again. I had very low self esteem as I was growing up. I am not good and I wasn’t a good either. Alway have a sense of loss of power, personality and charisma. Jewish, gypsies margins of life. I’ll evict them all mid winter or not, pandemic lockdown of not. Compared to rugby Rees feels boxing is not violent. Mixed martial arts (MMA), Hart – I hit em hard them pick them up and take them to a nurse Rees – well I got in the ring with Martin. I had steam coming from my no.se – like a raging bull. For 3 minutes I didn’t hit him once. One of my proudest moments – feeling his leather, then it was blood streaming from my nose. But I learnt not to lose my temper. I’ve got poorly paid security staff to do that for me now. By now its 8.43 and what of Bristol ? Where ? asks the most pointless, salaried spiv in the city.

THE LEAKS: If the Queen retires when she turns 95 in April, who will be Prince Regent – Charles or William? Queen ‘to retire in 18 months’ for Charles to become Prince Regent Comment Faye Brown - Wednesday 27 Nov 2019 METRO: Queen Elizabeth is reportedly handing over her duties to her son Charles, the Prince of Wales, when she turns 95 (Picture: Reuters) Prince Charles is preparing to take over leadership of the Royals when the Queen turns 95, it has been reported. The Queen’s oldest son met with his father at Sandringham yesterday to discuss the continuing fallout from his brother’s disastrous TV interview about his links to Jeffry Epstein. Prince Charles’ key role in ‘retiring’ Prince Andrew from public life has fed speculation he is preparing to become ‘shadow King’, which would see him control day-to-day royal affairs while his mother remains monarch. Her Majesty will turn 95 in 18 months – the same age at which her husband Prince Philip withdrew from his public duties. There is talk among courtiers that she may use the milestone to allow her son to become Prince Regent, the Sun reports. Prince Charlies is rumoured to be stepping in as ‘Prince Regent’ in 18 months if the Queen retires (Picture: Rex) It is believed he met with his father Prince Philip to discuss the plan yesterday (Picture: Rex) A royal source told the paper: ‘The scandal surrounding Andrew and Epstein gave Charles an opportunity to step in to show that he can run The Firm. No one is bigger than the institution of the Royal Family. Not even Andrew, the Queen’s favourite son. ‘Charles recognised that and acted decisively like the king he may well soon be. This was the moment when Charles stepped up as Prince Regent, the Shadow King.’ The Queen has been gradually reducing the number of public engagements she attends from 332 in 2016 to a 283 in 2018.

THE OFFICIAL DENIALS: Queen will not end historic reign before death because of Princess Charlotte claims expert THE QUEEN has no plans to abdicate and is set to continue her historic reign for the sake of her grandchildren, sources say. By LUKE HAWKER PUBLISHED:Tue, Nov 17, 2020 The Queen, 94, is the longest-reigning monarch in British history and has been on the throne for the past 68 years. Retirement plans for her majesty have once again surfaced in recent months, with a number of royal biographers claiming she could hand over power to her son Prince Charles as early as next year. But, this week senior aides told the Daily Express any plans for the Queen to step down are premature and they expect her to remain as head of state until death. The Government has also outlined plans for her majesty’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations despite being more than 18 months away. Prior to becoming Queen, Princess Elizabeth famously dedicated her life to her future role as monarch. Speaking on her 21st birthday, she said: "I declare before you all that my whole life, whether it be long or short, shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong." Addressing further speculation, a royal adviser said: “We’ve always pointed people to the declaration she made to serve the country for all of her life.” A second aide added: “There are no plans for a Regency.

There are no discussions that I am aware of relating to a Regency. “It’s entirely up to the Queen how she asks other members of the family to support her in her work.” Another royal insider believes the youngest members of the Royal Family could hold a significant influence on the Queen’s decision. The Monarch has eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a source has suggested the fourth-in-line to the throne Princess Charlotte – has in particular given the Queen another reason to continue. Speaking to the Daily Mail last year, they said: “I don’t think she’s going anywhere, anytime soon. “I think the Queen sees what those boys and their wives bring… Princess Charlotte, already at the age of three, knows how to work a crowd. "Maybe now through her grandchildren she can see a way of just staying on the crest of that wave." The Queen became the UKs longest-serving monarch on September 9, 2015. She surpassed the 63 years, seven months and two day-long reign of her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria. Earlier this month, Royal biographer Robert Jobson said he expects the Queen to end her reign when she turns 95-year-old in 2021. The Queen will celebrate her birthday on April 21 – with the special occasion traditionally marked with a Trooping of the Colour service in June. Speaking on The Royal Beat, Mr Jobson said: “I still firmly believe when the Queen becomes 95, that she will step down.”

Libor Fraud Scapegoat Tom Hayes, known as Rain Man to some of his cocaine fuelled colleagues, is released from prison after 5 years – after becoming the fall guy for fraudulent top Bank Execs. City trader jailed for Libor rigging freed after five years - Tom Hayes hopes to rebuild his life and family after ‘traumatic’ time in custody Tom Hayes, the City trader jailed for manipulating Libor interest rates, has been released from prison after serving what he called a “traumatic” five and a half years in custody. The former star UBS and Citigroup trader was the first person to be convicted by a jury of rigging the financial industry benchmark and was released after serving half of his 11-year sentence. During his trial Hayes was described as the ringleader in a vast conspiracy to fix the Libor rate – used to price trillions of pounds worth of financial products – between 2006 and 2010. A gifted mathematician who was diagnosed with mild Asperger’s syndrome shortly before his trial, Hayes was charged by both UK and US prosecutors. He earned millions of pounds for his work as a trader, but claimed during his trial that he was taking part in an “industry-wide” practice. He was convicted of eight counts of conspiracy to defraud. “Today I begin the process of rebuilding my life and my shattered relationship with my son, Joshua,” Hayes told reporters. He was met by his wife and child following his release from HMP Ford, an open prison in Arundel on England’s south coast. “After a traumatic five and a half years in custody and two and a half years of bail, my eight-year ordeal in the UK is almost over,” he said, adding: “I’m going to enjoy my first doner kebab in a long time.” Since his conviction in August 2015 Hayes has maintained his innocence, and has accused the UK regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), of making him a scapegoat. He continues to try to clear his name and have his conviction overturned through an appeal to the Criminal Cases Review Commission, which investigates suspected miscarriages of justice. Sign up to the daily Business Today email Hayes’ lawyer, Karen Todner – who led Gary McKinnon’s case against extradition to the US on charges of computer hacking – said Hayes had been made a “scapegoat with a disability” for more senior executives. She also called on the CCRC to respond more quickly to applications. His previous attempts to have his conviction overturned failed, although his sentence was reduced from an initial 14 years to 11. Other traders were convicted of Libor manipulation after Hayes, including a group of four Barclays traders. Following a string of scandals and fines totalling billions for banks that manipulated the rate, the FCA decided in 2017 to phase out Libor, and the index will stop being used this year.

Excellent Daily UK Newspaper Some of this weeks Morning Star newspaper stories:

Kier Starmer – evidence – spy cops Activists call on Keir Starmer to give evidence to Spycops Inquiry SIR KEIR STARMER is being urged to give evidence at the spycops inquiry to shed light on his potential role in miscarriages of justice cases against activists when he was head of public prosecutions. A group of 18 environmental activists are demanding the Labour leader answer questions over whether he helped to conceal information about the role of undercover police in their and other campaigners’ wrongful convictions 10 years ago. The activists said in a statement, published by the Guardian today, that they were seeking to “get to the truth about non-disclosure, prosecutions and miscarriages of justice that involved undercover police officers” and want Sir Keir and other figures to give evidence to achieve that. The Undercover Policing inquiry was launched to investigate abuses by officers serving in secret police units that infiltrated more than 1,000 political groups over 50 years. Mr Starmer became embroiled in the scandal while he was director of public prosecutions, when 20 activists were wrongly convicted in 2009 of plotting to occupy the Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station. A group of 114 people were arrested while planning the action. A further six were prosecuted separately but their case collapsed after it emerged that prosecutors had concealed information that one of the lead protesters was undercover police officer Mark Kennedy. This led to the 20 who were convicted in the earlier trial having their convictions quashed. Sir Keir ordered an inquiry into the case by retired judge Christopher Rose, who pinned the blame on a junior prosecutor. Two other trials involving Mr Kennedy also collapsed due to the CPS withholding evidence that he was an undercover officer. However Mr Starmer only ordered the inquiry into the Ratcliffe-on-Soar case. The Labour leader told Channel 4 at the time that the problem was not “systemic,” but activists are now demanding answers as to whether Mr Starmer helped bury evidence of other miscarriages of justice involving undercover officers. The power station case led to the unfurling of the spycops scandal, which resulted in the unmasking of dozens of other undercover officers who infiltrated progressive groups for years at a time. The demands come after Sir Keir controversially ordered Labour MPs to abstain on the Covert Human Intelligence Sources Bill, which seeks to give undercover officers immunity from committing authorised crimes. The activists, who were all part of the group arrested during the power plant action, said their demands “now take [on] an even greater urgency, following the provisions for spying on the public” in the Bill.

False and frivolous accusations of antisemitism - Jonathan Rosenhead, who is Jewish, has been called anti-Semitic for criticising Israel. ‘Jewish Voice for Labour’ blog For more detail of this hugely important case, or to donate to our legal fund click the link here: Jonathan Rosenhead (age 82) is Chair of Hoxton West branch and serves on the Executive of Hackney South and Shoreditch CLP. He first joined the Labour Party in 1962, and was a Labour Parliamentary candidate. From the sixties he has been involved in the anti-apartheid movement; in campaigning around the use of rubber and plastic bullets in the north of Ireland; in working with Hugo Chavez’ government in Venezuela; and in support for the rights of Palestinians. He rejoined the party in 2015. His Notice of Investigation served in May 2020 cited as evidence i) a speech at the February 2020 CLP meeting nominating Jo Bird for the NEC, in which his mention of her well known ‘Jew-process’ joke was allegedly a disciplinary offence; ii) words which were incorrectly asserted to be part of his verbal evidence as a witness at Ken Livingstone’s disciplinary hearing in 2017; and iii) an article he had written in Open Democracy in October 2017 describing the launch meeting of Jewish Voice for Labour (but which of the 3000 words were problematic was not specified). His conduct is being judged on the basis of an unpublished version of the code.

Part Two - News Review and Covid Investigative Reports:

Outbreak of Covid decimates Basingstoke care home after vaccine  Pemberley House Care Home deaths not related to vaccine By Ryan Evans @RyanBasGazette The vaccine is not related to a recent outbreak of coronavirus as a Basingstoke care home, a government agency has said. As reported by The Gazette, at least 22 residents of Pemberley House Care Home have died in the last three weeks after contracting Covid. The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHPRA) said their surveillance does not suggest that the Covid-19 vaccines have contributed to the deaths. The agency is responsible for ensuring that medicines, medical devices, and vaccines meet applicable standards of safety, quality, and efficacy. An outbreak was declared at the Viables residential home on January 5, 2020. Public Health England said the homes manager has been in contact with them and other stakeholders and assistance is not currently needed. It is understood the outbreak started as residents began to have their first coronavirus vaccines though this is thought to be unrelated, according to the agency.

From MailOnline Janet Street Porter column January 15. Name removed Feb 03 the day after Tom died - Pfizer makes £15bn for vaccine  Pfizer Projects $15 Billion in 2021 Sales of Covid Vaccine Pfizer’s newly-authorized Covid-19 vaccine brought in $154 million in sales in the fourth quarter. Pfizer Inc. projected about $15 billion in revenue this year from the Covid-19 vaccine it developed with BioNTech SE, but the shares fell amid questions about the durability of the market for the shot. Company officials led by Chief Executive Albert Bourla said on a conference call that the vaccine looks capable of taking on new variants, its price may increase and new products using its messenger RNA technology are on the way. Still, the shares fell as much as 4.3% and were down 2.2% at 2:10 p.m Tuesday in New York.

Gordon Correra – Are (those evil) Russians’ pointing microwave beams at Western spies? Western Intelligence Services and anti Russian propaganda.  Marc Polymeropoulos woke up in his hotel room with his head spinning and ears ringing. "I felt like I was going to vomit. I couldnt stand up. I was falling over," he recalls. "I have been shot at numerous times and this was the most terrifying experience in my life." Polymeropoulos had spent years in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan as a senior officer of the CIA fighting Americas war on terrorism. But that night in Moscow he believes he was targeted by a secret, microwave weapon.  UK INTELLIGENCE FORCES AND MICROWAVE MIND CONTROL Microwave weapons that turn people into stressed, confused, submissive zombies are being used in Britain’s inner cities. Developed by the communists, microwave weapons similar to microwave ovens have since the 1980s, been targeted on inner city council estates. The 1970s brought a darker side to the story, with the news that the Russians were microwaving the US embassy in Moscow. One third of the staff eventually died of cancer from this microwave irradiation. Australian scientists proved in 1997, that tiny amounts of microwave produced by the very safest mobile phones, cause cancer in mice, when exposed to this radiation. Greenham Common was the first time that the Ministry of Defense was involved in the offensive microwaving of women protesters, the so called Greenham Common Women. This event showed that the UK security forces were willing to use lethal doses of microwave radiation on large groups of the general public. Equipment showed that the women peace protesters were subject to high levels of microwave radiation, some of them have subsequently died from cancer. Northern Ireland would have been a perfect proving ground for mass mind control technology. Research at the Tavistock Institute enabled the Thatcher government to put into large scale use, the frequency which causes submission in humans.

Brandy Vaughan, former employee of pharma group Merck, who campaigned for those damaged by vaccines, was found dead on the 7th December 2020 - she explains shortly before she died about her house being broken into. Former Merck Employee, Anti Vaccination Campaigner, Whistle-blower Brandy Vaughan Murder Covered Up Just Before US Covid Vaccine Rollout Former pharmaceutical (Merck) rep Brandy Vaughan, founder of non-profit LearnTheRisk (learntherisk.org), was found dead in her home. Her death was sudden, suspicious and is currently being investigated by authorities. What’s drawn many people’s attention to her death is that she made a Facebook post towards the end of last year urging people to investigate her death and spread the word if she were to be found dead. Prior to that Facebook post she put up a video on YouTube expressing how she had been harrassed and had experienced some weird things as she seemed to be quite shaken and worried. She said it was “scary.” In her Facebook post, not only did she request journalists to cover the story if she passed suddenly, but she also requested that her close friends start a fundraiser to investigate her death. If something were to happen to me, it’s foul play and you know exactly who and why – given my work and mission in this life. I’m also NOT accident prone. And I got the highest health rating possible when I went through a battery of medical tests a couple of years ago for my life insurance policy. If something were to happen to me, I have arranged for a close group of my friends to start a GoFundMe to hire a team of private investigators to figure out all the details ( I have the team and have passed the info on to them). Oh, and money for a PR firm to make it national news. There would be a press release sent to every journalist in this country (and more). It would not be swept under the rug, and it would be their worst nightmare – Vaughan For the latest updates you can access LearnTheRisk’s Facebook page here. The latest update comes from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office who just announced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death. “The decedent has been positively identified and the death is believe [sic] to be a result of natural causes based on an autopsy exam conducted last week,” Santa Barbara County Sheriff Public Information Officer Raquel Zick said in a statement. “The final cause and manner of death determination are pending toxicology screening which normally takes 4-6 weeks.” (source) According to Children’s Health Defense, Brandy Vaughan passed away due to gallbladder complications, a medical issue that she privately struggled with throughout 2020. This was a confusing post given the fact that no evidence has been provided to make this claim, and it contradicts what people closest to Brandy have been saying, that foul play cannot be ruled out until a proper investigation has ensued. A recent Facebook post by one of her best friends, Tina Marie who Vaughan had thanksgiving dinner with, where she was completely fine, happy and healthy, just days before her death reads as follows: Please held share the fundraiser for Brandy all over! I’m exhausted. I’ve slept 14 hours total since I found out she passed. I need an army of help!!! We are up against a powerful beast that has the money to hire PR teams, controlled operatives, etc. We have beautiful souls and passionate hearts…United we stand! Let’s honor Brandy Vaughan’s dying wish (which was to have her death properly investigated). Thank you for supporting. Please help us bring justice to her, by donating, and/or sharing the fundraiser. She deserves a proper investigation!

Philip Marshall, 9/11 pilot and author of The Big Bamboozle, murdered….  The Curious Case of Philip Marshall Philip Marshall, a veteran airline captain and former government “special activities” contract pilot, had authored three books on Top Secret America, a group presently conducting business as the United States Intelligence Community. Marshall is the leading aviation expert on the September 11th attack, as well as a masterful storyteller. In his final book “The Big Bamboozle: 9/11 and the War on Terror,” a 2012 publication Marshall theorized it wasn’t al-Qaida but rather U.S. and Saudi government officials who orchestrated 9/11. In February 2013, he was found dead along with his two children in their home in California. Reports indicate all 3 died of gunshot wounds. Police regarded the case as a double murder- suicide case. But many pieces do not add up. Simply, a loving father and devoted husband would kill his children before turning the gun on himself. Besides, prior to his death, he had confided to his closest that he was terrified of his family being targeted by secret agents. This movie looks into this whistleblower’s investigations and tries to find out what he could have possibly found that cost his life and that of his loved ones.

Arty Innes is a former millionaire who is now homeless, living in a Bristol hostel. He feels strongly that the government and media are lying to the public about the pandemic and that government policies, such as lockdowns, are killing more people than the disease itself, that the cure is worse than the disease. He is also concerned that the vaccine roll-out, far from being agreat success is an exercise in human experimentation which is totally unethical and has been rolled out using the pandemic as an excuse. He has now been arrested twice to get him out of the city centre for chalking slogans on the pavement about his beliefs. Hes originally from Aberdeen in Scotland and thinks the Scots can sometimes be more forceful than the English about their beliefs. At the root of what he has been doing is the observations hes made, both in his own life and in the wider world, that freedom of speech is quietly being severely curtailed under the guise of the pandemic. He was made homeless by the Emmaus Bristol charity for wearing a All Lives Matter tee shirt which he considers less racist and less divisive that the Black Lives Matter movement.

Newly transcribed chronicle describes extreme weather events that hit Bristol 400 years ago Historians from the University of Bristol have discovered contemporary accounts of numerous weird weather events that happened in the Bristol area around the turn of the 16th/17th century including devastating floods, massive snowfalls and frosts that saw rivers frozen for months. The detail comes from a chronicle that was acquired by Bristol Archives in 1932 but then declared as ‘unfit for production’ due to its extremely fragile nature. Access to the manuscript was very limited making it difficult to investigate its contents. Using digital photography, a team led by Dr Evan Jones from the University of Bristol’s Department of History, has now painstakingly transcribed the document which is named 09594/1. Chronicle writing dates back to the early medieval period and record events of a community that are relevant to it as a reference work for future readers. Early chronicles were mostly produced by religious communities but as time went on town clerks and private families kept them as well. They recorded the most memorable events of that particular year – such as wars, rebellions, plagues and fires. Dr Jones and his team concluded that 09594/1 was probably not begun until the late 17th century. It was then updated regularly until 1735 by different people (probably from the same family). It also includes detail dating back as far as the 13th century which would have been taken from older chronicles or manuscripts. What drew the researchers’ particular attention amongst the more expected entries, was a vivid series of descriptions of extreme weather-related events that occurred in the Bristol area from the 1560s to the 1620s.

Sir Brian Urquhart, Intelligence Officer, who warned of Operation Market Garden dangers and was sacked two days before lift-off, dies aged 101.  German tanks hiding in the Arnhem woods - extract from Tony Goslings new book The Traitors Of Arnhem? (5th edn. 2021) Acting on a Dutch underground intelligence report which arrived at operation MARKET-GARDENs Moor Park HQ on Friday 15th September, Spitfire 12 reconnaissance of the area near Arnhem was immediately ordered by Major Brian Urquhart, Brownings intelligence officer (Not to be confused with General Roy Urquhart commanding 1st Airborne.). After examining the photos he advised General Browning on Saturday 16th September, the day before the first drops, that 1st Airborne could not win against highly trained, if depleted, SS armoured divisions with drop zones so far out. Browning refused to consider any change of plan, instead sacking his intelligence officer on the spot. The fact that these II SS Panzer Corps units were resting where they were, adjacent to the only concrete road North of Arnhem, which would facilitate quick access to the city if necessary, was a hot topic of discussion of Dutch civilians after the war. The obvious place to recuperate was not there but Deelen Luftwaffe night fighter base to the West with its mechanical workshops and medical facilities. If Field Marshal Model had forewarning of the attack, as we now know from ULTRA decrypts he did, it would make sense to rest 9th and 10th SS Panzer Divisions well away from Deelen airfield, a major likely target for pre-attack bombing raids. Major Urquharts reconnaissance prints showed elements of the German II SS Panzer corps resting near Arnhem, dispersed in Zutphen, Hoenderlo, Apeldoorn, Deventer, Diepensen, Rheden, Vorden and Dieren, near the main road north of Arnhem. These two severely depleted SS armoured divisions had arrived on Thursday 7th September for rest and refitting and dispersed. On Tuesday 12th September soldiers of the 9th SS panzer division loaded lighter equipment, not tanks, onto a train bound for a refit in Siegen, Germany but day after day departure was delayed. It could be that the early warning King Kong delivered the week before the assault not only destroyed the element of surprise imperative to airborne operations, but delayed the departure by train of these 2,500 or so troops, thus doubling of the number of crack SS soldiers available to defend Arnhem. When the allied airborne division began to drop five days later, handily, they had still not left. The 9th rapidly detrained then drove and marched to West Arnhem to block two of the three approaches into the city from the drop zones near Wolfheze: 1 Para on Amsterdamseweg, Leopard route, and 3 Para on Utrechtesweg, Tiger route. The bulk of the 10th SS got ready to move through Arnhem to Nijmegen but the rapidity of Frosts march to the bridge prevented that so Harmel instructed them to divert via the Pannerden ferry. This proved an awkward detour, taking some days, the ferry couldnt take heavier equipment such as tanks. Major Urquharts Allied photo-reconnaissance warning was particularly controversial because General Browning and Colonel Walch at Moor Park decided not to inform 1st airborne division colonels about the added danger they were jumping into. Often forgotten though in the context of MARKET-GARDEN is the ability of Allied Combined Services to decode German communications and discern enemy troop dispositions and intentions using Bletchley Parks so-called ULTRA decrypts. Dates on this one are confusing but it does look as if increasing concerns by Brownings 13 intelligence officer Major Brian Urquhart unearthed an Allies in German reports intercept from the previous week. Imagine the consternation this decrypt must have caused in what is now called The Arnhem Room at Moor Park mansion between Rickmansworth and Northwood on the outskirts of NW London where MARKET-GARDEN was planned. Friday 15 September - ULTRA Intercept No. HP242. Allies in German reports: (A) addressed to unspecified on evening Saturday 9th September: 30 British Corps (2nd Br Army) between Antwerp and Hasselt. Bringing up further corps possible. Eleven to fourteen divisions with eight to nine hundred tanks. Photo recce. tasks indicate probable intention is thrust mainly from Wilhelmina Canal on both sides Eindhoven into Arnhem to cut off and surround German forces western Netherlands. Implication here is that though the above German message was intercepted on 9th September, over a week before the drop, it didnt reach Moor Park until two days before the big day. Not so strange that Brian Urquhart didnt mention it after the war, since ULTRA was considered politically controversial and details remained secret for many decades. An even earlier decrypt signalled on Tuesday 5 September reported what appears to be the initial order for the II SS Panzer corps to move toward the Arnhem area. It does now seem that Model had ample warning the paratroopers were coming, and that the arrival of Christiaan Lindemans in Vught on Friday 15th left the field marshal in no doubt whatever about the coming landings. When the Dakotas and gliders arrived on the Sunday Army Group B were just able to feign having been surprised, but could not have been better prepared. (DEFE 3/221, XL 9188 of 5 September). German Army Group B order sent pm, 4 September, Xl 9188 sent 1152, 5 September. Those elements of 2nd and 116th Panzer and 9th and 10th SS Panzer Divisions that are not still operating are to rest and refit in the area VENLO-ARNHEM-SfHERTOGENBOSCH. Brian Urquharts dismissal, by Browning, the day before the drop, on grounds of nervous exhaustion left an indelible impression on the first allied airborne armys stunned intelligence officer. Major Urquhart was stunned over Brownings apparent lack of concern for the lives of his men or the operations potential success. "I then realised what I hadnt realised before, that these generals, great commanders and politicians who one so admired during the war were actually just like everybody else. They were vain, ambitious, they very often made extremely faulty judgements. I had not thought of that before. Id always thought they were sort of super-people and I must say that it remained with me for the rest of my life. Ive never really trusted very well-known, sort of glamorous, leaders to resist 14 vanity and ambition, and make the right mature considered decision, and get it right." After the war, whereas Browning became an alcoholic, protected in safe jobs first by Mountbatten, then by the Duke of Edinburgh, Major Urquhart went on to become one of the first deputy Secretaries-General of the newly formed United Nations.

James Files (Sutton) was born in Alabama in January 1942. His family moved to Chicago and he lived there until joining the United States Army and served with the 82nd Airborne in Vietnam (1959-60). After leaving the army he met Charlie Nicoletti, a leading figure in the Chicago Mafia. Files was involved in the Bay of Pigs invasion. In 1962 Files claims that he met Lee Harvey Oswald in Clinton, Louisiana. In 1963 Files was recruited by Nicoletti to take part in the killing of John F. Kennedy. Nicoletti claimed that the assassination was being organized by Sam Giancana, Johnny Roselli and David Atlee Phillips. Files claims that Lee Harvey Oswald was involved in the plot and speculated that his role was to plant the Mannlicher Rifle and shells in the Texas Book Depository. On 22nd November, 1963, Files claims he drove to Fort Worth where he met Johnny Roselli, Jack Ruby and Jim Brading. At the meeting Ruby handed Rosselli an envelope that contained Secret Service identifications and an updated motorcade route map of Dallas. Files and Nicoletti went to Dealey Plaza at about 10 a.m. It was agreed that Files would use his Remington Fireball gun from behind the fence on the Grassy Knoll and that Nicoletti would position himself in the Dal-Tex Building. Files believes that Nicolettis bullets hit both John F. Kennedy and John Connally. However, Files claimed that his bullet that hit Kennedy in the head. Apparently Files was given $30,000 for his role in the assassination. Files continued to work for Charlie Nicoletti until he was murdered on 29th March, 1977. Files was arrested on 5th August, 1991 and charged with attempting to kill a policeman called David Ostertag. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison and is currently a prisoner in Stateville Prison in Illinois. In 1994 Files told his story to Joe West. After the death of West the project was taken over by Bob Vernon. The story was eventually appeared in a video The Murder of JFK: Confession of an Assassin (1996). A book on the subject, Files on JFK: Interviews with Confessed Assassin James E. Files (2008).

AUDIO INTERVIEW WITH Ex-82nd Airborne Division sharpshooter turned JFK assassin James Files ..  Charles Nicoletti (Chicago Mob): Charlie (Chuck) Nicoletti was a leading figure in the Mafia in Chicago. He worked under Tony Accardo and Sam Giancana and got the reputation as an effective contract killer. He was also involved in the CIA plots to overthrow Fidel Castro in Cuba. On 29th March, 1977, Charles Nicoletti was murdered in Chicago. He had been shot three times in the back of the head. George De Mohrenschildt died the same day. Both men were due to appear before the Select House Committee on Assassinations where they were to be asked about their involvement in the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Johnny Roselli (Chicago Mob): John Roselli (Filippo Sacco) first became involved in crime when he worked for Al Capone in the 1920s. By the end of the Second World War Roselli had emerged as a senior crime boss in Las Vegas with close links to Meyer Lansky. In 1947 the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) identified him as a leading figure in the Mafia and a close associate of Santos Trafficante. In March I960, President Dwight Eisenhower of the United States approved a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) plan to overthrow Fidel Castro. The plan involved a budget of $13 million to train "a paramilitary force outside Cuba for guerrilla action." The strategy was organised by Richard Bissell and Richard Helms. Sidney Gottlieb of the CIA Technical Services Division was asked to come up with proposals that would undermine Castros popularity with the Cuban people. Plans included a scheme to spray a television studio in which he was about to appear with an hallucinogenic drug and contaminating his shoes with thallium which they believed would cause the hair in his beard to fall out. Tony Accardo: (Chicago Mob) Born April 26, 1906, in Chicago, Illinois, to a shoemaker and his wife, Antonino Leonardo Accardo dropped out of grade school and quickly dedicated himself to a life of organized crime. Accardo came to infamy as a hitman for Al Capone who allegedly participated in the Valentines Day Massacre. Never convicted of his crimes, Accardo denied any ties to the mob until his death in 1992.

….. David Phillips (CIA): David Atlee Phillips (October 31, 1922 – July 7, 1988) (Maurice Bishop) was a Central Intelligence Agency officer for 25 years, one of a handful of people to receive the Career Intelligence Medal. He rose to become the CIAs chief of all operations in the Western hemisphere. In 1975 he founded the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO), an alumni association comprising intelligence officers from all services.  Frank Sturgis (CIA): Sturgis was involved in gunrunning to Cuba. On 30th July, 1958, Sturgis was arrested for illegal possession of arms. However, he was released without charge. There is some evidence that in 1959 Sturgis had contact with Lewis McWillie, the manager of the Tropicana Casino. Theodore (Ted) Shackley (CIA): Shackley, whose nickname was the "Blond Ghost" (because he hated to be photographed) became involved in CIAs Black Operations. This involved a policy that was later to become known as Executive Action (a plan to remove unfriendly foreign leaders from power). This included a coup détat that overthrew the Guatemalan government of Jacobo Arbenz in 1954 after he introduced land reforms and nationalized the United Fruit Company. Sam Giancana (Chicago Mob): Salvatore "Mooney Sam" Giancana, better known as Sam Giancana, was a Sicilian American mobster, notable for being boss of the Chicago Outfit from 1957–1966 (see book Double Cross) In 1960 Giancana was involved in talks with Allen W. Dulles, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), about the possibility of murdering Fidel Castro. It is claimed that during the 1960 presidential election Giancana used his influence in Illinois to help John F. Kennedy defeat Richard Nixon. The two men, at that time, shared the same girlfriend, Judith Campbell Exner. After becoming president John F. Kennedy appointed his brother, Robert Kennedy, as U.S. Attorney General. The two men worked closely together on a wide variety of issues including the attempt to tackle organized crime. One of their prime targets was to get Giancana arrested. On 22nd November, 1963, President Kennedy was assassinated. Rumours began to circulate that Giancana and other gang bosses such as Santos Trafficante, Carlos Marcello, and Johnny Roselli, were involved in the crime. In 1975 Frank Church and his Select Committee to Study Governmental Operations with Respect to Intelligence Activities discovered that Judith Campbell had been involved with both Giancana and John F. Kennedy. It emerged that during the 1960 presidential election Campbell took messages from Giancana to Kennedy. Campbell later claimed these messages concerned the plans to murder Fidel Castro. Kennedy also began an affair with Campbell and used her as a courier to carry sealed envelopes to Giancana. He told her they contained "intelligence material" concerning the plot to kill Castro. Giancana was now ordered to appear before Churchs committee. However, before he could appear, on 19th June, 1975, Sam Giancana was murdered in his own home. He had a massive wound in the back of the head. He had also been shot six times in a circle around the mouth.
