John Philpot, Montreal lawyer with extensive experience at the International Criminal Court for Rwanda provides a detailed legal review of the seminal trial of Colonel Bagosora and three other officers. From the beginning of the UNICTR it was repeatedly said that Bagosora was the "big fish" and he would be shown to have conspired with others to commit genocide during the 1994 war in Rwanda. One officer was acquitted of all charges and no officer was convicted of conspiracy. Philpot explains the importance of the case and exposes the dishonesty of western media. They lie about Bagosora to promote their pawn, Paul Kagame.
