Uploaded by: George King IV georgekingiv@yahoo.com
Robin Hahnel has taught political economy at American University for over twenty years. In January 2001, he gave a lecture on Participatory Economics during the National Conference on Organized Resistance. The audience packed into a classroom at American University in Washington, DC, to hear him speak.

In the first recording, Hahnel discusses the importance of good economic vision, practicing an alternative, some people in Canada who are implementing Parecon, challenges and dilemmas facing alternative economies, and the issue of activist burnout.

The Q&A session begins with a basic rundown of what Participatory Economics is, and moves on from there.
