Key to the topic is the role reversal between the left and the right - it is now the right who claims to stand for the 'majority,' and the 'left' that calls for wars and interventions.

There is more to history than the rise of Nazism. Concealed under 'anti-fascist' politics is support for disastrous policies of economic globalization, which immiserate French workers.

At the same time, the social-democratic 'left' in France supports the EU, the expansion of NATO towards Russia, and the rise of open Nazi fascism in Ukraine.

In echoes of the U.S. election, global liberals told leftist candidate Melenchon not to run, so that the 'left' could run lacklustre neo-liberal Macron against France's conservatives. Just what we need - another Hollande / Clinton.
