In recent weeks American propagandists have touted alleged problems for the Syrian government. They have claimed a new front might open along the Jordanian border or a Caliphate established in North East Syria, or a new Kurdish state within Syria. But progress by Syria and its allies continue to give the lie to these claims. The US-Saudi position is growing more desperate.
