Robin Philpot, the 2015-16 recipient of the âNational Patriot of the Yearâ award bestowed by the National St. Jean Baptiste Society explains the history of the honor, which is awarded every November to cultural figures involved in the general political struggle.
The commemoration events are held in November to remember patriots who fought against the British colonial power in the province.
Philpot explains the memorial arch that over looked horseshoe Falls at Niagara and commemorated the rebellions of Upper Canada (Ontario) and Lower Canada (Quebec). The panels, called the Mackenzie panels, exemplified people fighting for responsible government, liberty, and freedom. Philpot stresses the alliance between Upper and Lower Canada.
You can't fight terrorists while funding and arming them
Dec. 10, 2015, 9:47 p.m.
Zafar Bangash and Phil Taylor discuss the reasoning of Syrian President Assad in an interview with the British Sunday Times, December 6. Assad explains why the âBritish and French airstrikes against ISIS will yield no results but will rather be illegal and harmful in that they will help in spreading terrorism like a cancer.â
Bangash explains why the Turkish shoot-down of the Russian plane November 24 was a âtrap.â
Bangash and Taylor also discuss (1) why the Blair faction in the Labor Party broke with Corbyn and voted for British intervention in Syria, (2) role of Islamic Republic (Iran) accompanying Russian bombers in Syria, (3) the hypocritical U.K. Royal Family love affair with the Wahabbi extremists in the Saudi state, even while the Western states target and persecute the majority of peaceful global Muslims and (4) the tens of billions of dollars that Canada, France, Britain and United States make by selling arms to the terrorists, which gives the terrorists a blank check to terrorize the world.

Ex-AIPAC journalist MJ Rosenberg speaks at MA Peace Action conference
Dec. 9, 2015, 5:58 p.m.
In this episode we take a look at the Jewish Lobby and its manifestations at the local and national level. (By âJewish Lobby,â we mean the racist voice of todayâs Israel, which is not the same as that of all Jews.)
For our main feature, we present ex-AIPAC journalist MJ Rosenberg, speaking recently at a conference sponsored by Massachusetts Peace Actionâs Palestine Working Group. Rosenberg provides a detailed inside look and is well qualified to do so.
Before that feature, we report on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authorityâs recent decision to refuse paid advertisements on âpolitical or social issuesâ following an outcry over a pro-Palestinian ad at a Red Line T stop. It is clear that the power of the Jewish lobby was on full display here, and although the ad was based on a verifiable fact, screams of anti-Semitism and hate speech filled the air.
We also report on continuing JCRC-sponsored all-expenses-paid trips to Israel for community, religious, and political âleadersâ for years and years, including local, state and federal legislative representatives. This time there was some public pushback against the acceptance of such trips by 10 Massachusetts State Senators. We present a Mondoweiss article on that pushback by Nancy Murray of Boston Alliance for Water Justice.
After the main feature, we also discuss the raging controversy in the United states and throughout the world concerning the immigration of Syrian refugees. True to form, Israel turns away Syrians, just as it turns away Palestinians coming in to be with their families.

Dec. 9, 2015, 5:37 p.m.
Program honored Black youth organizations that have been leading the struggle in Chicago for police accountability and
accessible trauma care on the South Side where University of
Chicago Hospital shut down its heavily used trauma unit.
Fearless Leading by Youth (FLY) took on that campaign when
one of its leaders, shot in a gang cross-fire just three blocks
from the University of Chicago Hospital, died due to the time it took to reach the nearest trauma unit, some 20 minutes away, downtown.

Gareth Porter on Why Turkey shot down Russian Jet and more
Dec. 9, 2015, 1:15 p.m.
Gareth Porter delves into background of Turkish support of al-Nusra front, Syria's al-Qaeda chapter, to explain Turkey's decision to shoot down Russian jet on 11/24 and its key role in supporting the anti-Assad forces in Syria, joined by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, all of whom are given passes by the Obama administration; that the Russians were attempting to cut off a crucial road and communication line vital to al Nusra which was threatening an Alawite area at the time;; how Obama administration continues to deny al-Nusra's key role in anti-Assad fight while speaking of 'moderates'; when there aren't any; that Turkey's focus is ousting Assad and suppressing Kurds; how US assists Saudis in war on Yemen wile ignoring its human rights violations; he also explains Iran's interest in defending Syria and therefore Hezbollah because Hez's strength limits Israel's ability to safely attack Iran; and much more, including Clinton's hawkish positions..
Jeff Blankfort: News/Op:Turkey, ISIL San Berdoo False Flag?
Dec. 9, 2015, 12:42 p.m.
Blankfort opens with report on US air attack on Syrian base and US denial; Obama's lack of sympathy for Russian ISIL victims, chiding Putin for not having resolved Syria situation; then examined Turkey's role as key ISIL ally, allowing flow of fighters, arms, and oil sales, and Obama's 'failure' to deal with it; then turns to San Bernadino terror attack and first reports that attackers were white men have been ignored and replaced by Farook and Malik with highly questionable supporting evidence. HEAR: Eyewitness accounts of shooters recorded by NBC and CBS; Blankfort notes no survivors identified either Farook or Malik and curious lack of attention by police, FBI, and MSM to get their stories or speak to early eyewitnesses Predicts that incident will be used to speed up militarization of domestic police defusing post-Ferguson criticism. Has all elements of a False Flag action.
