This week's show features a conversation with Steve Jablonski, recently returned from a period of self-imposed exile in Canada as avoidance of receiving a Federal Grand Jury subpoena in relation to anti-police organizing in the pacific northwest and the May Day spree of 2012 in Seattle. Steve talks about the choice he made, the circumstances that allowed him to return, the support he received while abroad and his return to the U.S.
This week's Sean Swain segment is read by a supporter. Sean has resumed his meals but is still being denied phone and email access. 1.) received a positive recommendation from both the Warden and Superintendent of her prison for parole;
2.) employment and housing both set up for her if she is paroled
3.) an excellent prison conduct record.

The notion that the tire can operate under its own power isnât half as remarkable as its other talent â the tire has telekinetic abilities and can make things explode at will, including human heads. The evil tire goes on a killing spree after its affections for a beautiful woman are thwarted, and local lawman Lt. Chad steps forward to investigate. Meanwhile, a handful of people aware of the tire and its actions are watching it from a safe distance until theyâre poisoned by a mysterious villain; one of them manages to survive, and is looking for some revenge of his own. . movement as their national election approaches. The National Union of Metal Workers, South Africa is South Africa s largest trade union with more than 339,000 (339,567) members. It is an active affiliate of the Congress of South African Trade Unions (Cosatu), the biggest trade union federation in South Africa. The union considers itself to be Marxist-Leninist and has had a fraught relationship with COSATU and the African National Congress for its its promotion of privatization and its failure to end the wealth divide and mass poverty in the country.

Tony Cartalucci agreed to an email interview. He places the military crackdowns and the massive numbers of people subjected to the death penalty in the context of foreign interference similar to what was happening in Syria and Libya.

Out of the Woods is an earthy, wires and wood, mostly acoustic program featuring some of the best new and established artists from the worlds of folk, bluegrass, singer-songwriters, alt.country, Americana, classic country, old-time, Celtic, and everything that falls in between. The show is an unpredictable mix flowing like a river between moods, often with an edge or in a melancholy minor key. On occasion, Out of the Woods features interviews and live in-studio performances with national and international touring musicians. Past guests have included artists such as Bela Fleck, Si Kahn, Brown Bird, Dana Robinson, Steve Gillette & Cindy Mangsen, Kate MacLeod, Bill Bourne, Karl Shiflett, Rachel Bissex, Darryl Purpose, Bow Thayer, Cosy Sheridan and many others. Canadian campaign to reverse the deportation order on Jose Figueroa

Jose Figueroa, a Canadian-Salvadorean currently fighting a deportation order in Langly, BC, is a loving father of three and has lived in Canada for 15 years. He had applied to live in Canada long ago because he faced danger in El Salvador, having stood up against a repressive military dictatorship during a violent civil war there. Canada accepted him on these grounds, but 13 years later, the government wants to deport him based on the same reason he was accepted into Canada, and because of a mistaken view of both who Jose is and the politics of El Salvador. Jose joined a Guelph community panel on May Day via Skype to share his story and talk about his We Are Jose campaign.
These recordings were taken at this year's 5th annual May Day Potluck Dinner and Panel in Guelph, Ontario. This year's potluck focused on the heightened climate of immigration detention and deportation of racialized individuals throughout Turtle Island. Speakers included Jose Figueroa, and there was a spoken word performance by Janice Lee.
BACKGROUND: May Day is an annual event celebrated on May 1st. Itâs a day devoted to workersâ rights, and the honouring of those participating in the struggles of working-class people throughout the world and history. May Day is also known as International Workers Day and is celebrated around the world; in some countries as an official holiday. May Day first became an official holiday in the 1880s in the United States, with the fight for an eight-hour work day.
Guelph-based all-volunteer-run migrant worker advocacy group Fuwersa/Puwersa has been organizing May Day potluck dinners in Guelph since 2009 to build momentum on the rallies happening in Toronto on May 1st while bringing in speakers from various places throughout Ontario, Turtle Island to Guelph to talk about the labour rights of (im)migrants and non status workers on Turtle Island.

Paul Chappell's background includes his experiences as a West Point graduate, Iraq War veteran and author. Paul relates what he discovered about waging peace from his time in the military. Paul also speaks about how Gandhi and Martin Luther King, Jr. waged peace.
