Another US soldier killed by Afghan soldier

April 27, 2012, 2:16 p.m.
Afghanistan, yesterday: Another American soldier and his interpreter were shot and killed by yet another Afghan soldier. These attacks have killed a quarter of all US troops killed in Afghanistan this year. This attack comes in light of the latest round of corpse desecration photographs. Afghanistan, yesterday: Three NATO soldiers of unreported nationality were killed in an IED blast in an undisclosed location in Eastern Afghanistan. A fourth NATO soldier was wounded. This may have been the convoy that hit a roadside bomb in Kandahar, with the Taliban claiming 5 NATO troops killed and an initial report from local authorities of 3 NATO soldiers wounded. Afghanistan, Wednesday: The Georgian military is reporting the death of a Georgian soldier from an IED blast in Helmand province, Afghanistan presumably on Wednesday, April 25th. Afghanistan, Tuesday: NATO is reporting the death of a soldier of unreported nationality from an IED blast in an undisclosed location in southern Afghanistan. Afghanistan, Tuesday: NATO is reporting the death of a soldier of unreported nationality from a non-combat related injury in an undisclosed location in eastern Afghanistan. Afghanistan, ongoing: The Haquani Network has scored what the Asia Times is calling a "technical knock-out" with their April 15th serious of coordinated attacks that some have compared to a mini version of the 1968 Tet Offensive in Vietnam. A total of 39 Taliban fighters were killed, far less than Viet Cong losses at Tet. Like Tet, the offensive was not a military sucess in taking and holding territory, but also like Tet is was a show of capability and a blow to the invader's morale. The offensive included focussed attacks on the German Embassy, the British Embassy, the US Embassy, and NATO headquarters. A British Embassy guard tower took a direct hit from a rocket. RPG round hit a house used by Britih diplomats. Had enough, President Obama? You can't win this war. After two incidents of US troops defiling the dead, the Koran burning, and the March 11 Massacre, the outcome of this war is no longer in doubt. Now's the time to pull the plug-bring all the troops home TODAY!
