Interview with Amahl Bishara

Nov. 18, 2011, 7:09 p.m.
Welcome to the November 6th edition of “This Week in Palestine” on WZBC 90.3 FM, a weekly show hosted for many years by our beloved Sherif Fam and continued in his loving memory by a group of his dedicated friends. Today TWIP celebrates a major milestone. Over a year ago today on October 31, we began producing this program as a small collective of four rotating hosts. The first broadcast featured an interview on Palestinian refugees. In honor of this inaugural broadcast, I’ll be speaking with a guest from that first show, Amahl Bishara. We’ll be having a conversation about their most recent trip to Palestine in 2011. Despite the many interesting events, and topics we have covered on Palestine in the past year, the plight of refugees remains key to a just resolution of the conflict; and in spite of the most recent victory of Palestine in gaining full membership in UNESCO, the Palestinian people continue to struggle for justice, peace, and human dignity!
