An AIPAC Evening with Daniel Pipes

Daniel Pipes offers his views on the "war on terror" and who is the enemy. He refers to the presentation as an "AIPAC evening".
The talk, given in May of 2007, was part of an on going AIPAC campaign to maintain a generalized fear of Muslims and Arabs. Irrationality and racism are effectively offered to justify uncritical support in the US for Israeli State crimes and the US government's political and financial aid that enable those crimes. Pipes spoke before an audience, in the well heeled community of Highland Park, Illinois, at Temple B'nai Torah. It is a demographic of people who are likely to vote, have the means to contribute to political candidates, and when energized by fear, can scare politicians into seeing things the AIPAC way or find themselves overwhelmed in the next election.
The consequences of AIPAC's effectiveness in preventing serious public discussion of the United States / State of Israel relationship can be found in the rubble of the World Trade Towers and the continuing attacks on our Constitutional Rights under the rubric of "National Security."

NATO's Regime Change Express in Libya

In a dynamite pack of information, Phil interviews Islamic scholar and journalist Zafar Bangash and noted Canadian alternative news editor and author Michel Chossudovsky.
Bangash details the "highway robbery" of Libya's assets, and warns of the dangers of outside attempts to unseat Assad in Syria. Phil and Zafar also discuss the possibility of whether Gaddafi was hoodwinked by offers of 'cozying up' to the West.
Chossudovsky brings to the table the full force of his six-months-plus analysis of NATO's war buildup and campaign against Libya, and the resulting destruction. "Tripoli now looks like Kabul."
Phil also reports on a pivotal event not covered in the media: a meeting involving Cynthia McKinney and others who courageously reported from Libya during the NATO bombardment.
