Celebrating my day of birth (and Canada's as well, aber naturlich) by playing some of my all-time favorite songs.
It's a pretty five-star mix, and would serve as a good introduction to the series or to this kinda music in general. We're not really worried about obscura or cool kid status on this one, they're just good songs. Take it or leave it!

Ce premier juillet, des douzaines de prisonniers dans des unités dâisolement long terme à la Pelican Bay State Prison ainsi qu'à dâautres prisons en Californie commencèrent une grève de la faim dâune durée indéterminée pour soutenir leurs demandes visant à l'amélioration des conditions de détention qu'ils subissent. The new "smart phones" such as Apple's iPhone have been revealed to be excellent devices for spying on the phones' owners. So this might be a good time to hear Dr. Neil Postman's celebrated and witty lecture, "Technology and Society" (1998).
Postman proposes six questions that society--and individuals--ought to consider before deciding to adopt any particular new technology.
Part 1 (this week) includes some of Postman's introduction and his discussion of the first four questions.

PGE threatens to install smart meters in Santa Cruz County California. An ordinance protecting the sensitive to electromagnetic waves and the illness that accompanies these surges every five seconds was passed in Santa Cruz county, but residents still must call in to add a waiver or delay to ensure their property won't be selected to be installed. the history of these and the current update to the local civil disiobedience is brought home with Coral Reef, Freedom and Gary J presiding..
