Dr.Marguerite Rigoglioso is author of The Cult of Divine Birth in Ancient Greece, and Virgin Mother Goddesses of Antiquity. She teaches on women and religion at Dominican University of CA, the California Institute of Integral Studies, The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. Greek religion is filled with strange sexual artifacts--stories of mortal women's couplings with gods; the unusual virgin birth stores of Pythagoras, Plato, and Alexander; and more. In this study Marguerite suggests such details are remnants of an early Greek cult of divine birth. She argues that many in the highest echelons of Greek civilization believed non-ordinary conception (parthenogenesis) was the only means possible of bringing forth high spiritual beings who could serve as true leaders or avatars, and that specific cadres of virgin priestesses were dedicated to this practice. Her book adds a unique perspective to our understanding of antiquity and has significant implications for the study of christianity and other religions in which divine birth claims are central. Tonight's HURRICANE SPECTACULAR is Chapter 15: "Etouffée, Brute?"! Our wayward George has managed to escape the horrors of the SuperDome and once again roams the hurricane-wrecked swamps. He tries his (shitty) luck hitchhiking with a series of bitter, hostile evacuees, only to fall victim to a clutch of Klansmen -- Lester Maddox, JB Stoner, James Earl Ray, and the Grand Dragon himself, Pat Robertson. Robertson, still nursing a white-hot grudge against the Bushes, invites George to get hammered with them--to a fiery cross! As if that weren't bad enough, George still faces an appointment with dark destiny... in the form of his sadistic kidnapper Jack, who is roaring through the bayous on a mission of murder. There will be BLOOD. You might want to put a drip pan under your radio. For music tonight, we have a dose of "4-Way Diablo" by Monster Magnet, and THE most fucking amazing, fucking DARK version of "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" by the world's most hardcore fucking band, Deadbolt!!! Also--I did NOT do the George Bush cover of "Imagine," but I wish I had. As far as I can tell, it's by Rx2008, but I could be wrong.

Sweet civilization! He has entered the City of New Orleans proper. Relief washes over him as he finds that survivors are being routed to a rescue area. Calloo! Callay! He's safe, he thinks, and then happily staggers into the shattered, accursed SuperDome -- little realizing that within the circular arena, his own particular Circle of Hell awaits him. The vault door clangs behind him, the die is cast... How long before the thousands of hysterical, desperate refugees all around him discover the renegade George's true identity? This episode goes balls to the wall and BEYOND! On a bleak, dystopian, hurricane-ravaged plain littered with rotting pornography, George Walker Bush faces Jeb Robertson Bush in a rolling, biting, eye-stabbing grudgematch that goes all the way to the GRAVE!!! YES!! **YES!!!** Tonight, FINALLY, one of them will die, and this time, he will STAY DEAD! This is a TRIPLE-CAGE DEATHMATCH with no holds or holes barred! It's flying folding chairs and dismembered body parts as two intertwined lifetimes of hate, ambition, and treachery ultimately twist together into a lit fuse that ignites an explosive Ragnarok of apocalyptic violence! I'm not kidding, motherfuckers, this one is that fucking epic--even the name of the title contains some truth, which you'll see after a listen. Lucky Chapter 13 will make you SHIT. HURRICANE SPECTACULAR Chapter 12: "Meet George Jenkem!" Deathmatch, schmeathmatch. Jeb Robertson Bush has hunted down and slain his rogue brother in the swamps, but to no avail--the demonic George refuses to die! Being decapitated, filleted, and left for dead only got the dumbass worked up. What the fuck can his half-brother do? A revelatory astral visit from Jeb's ghostly real dad Pat Robertson lays an onus on his anus to finish the job. Meanwhile, out in the bayou, George discovers the worst--he's out of BEER! But then, a solution--"solution" being in a LITERAL sense-- presents itself when George recalls his frat days and the pleasures of gettin' high off jenkem...and "Oh, shit" ain't enough of a description. Trust me, this episode rapidly plunges from the operatic heights to the pull-my-finger depths like a skeet-shot cliffdiver--but it serves a real purpose, because we'll *need* a breather and a little recreational chemical therapy. This story arc is playing out, and it's about to shift into high gear. Get ready to strap in, because the NEXT episode is one motherfucker of a nitrofueled grindhouse explosion of stunning, jaw-dropping violence that FINALLY, ONCE AND FOR ALL SETTLES THE GEORGE/JEB SCORE FOR GOOD. Some program notes: No, that isn't my George W. mashup of "Fortunate Son," but I wish it were. Plus, if any misguided tweens are tempted to try jenkem, after hearing this, they're going to think you have to DRINK it. (Consider this my version of an effective anti-jenkem PSA.) Featuring a special guest appearance by Evil Susie -- as the *voice of REASON*(?!!) Hell--I have no idea where this fucking thing is going, either. Just find something you can latch onto and try to hang the fuck on, PLEASE.
