84 - 09MOSCOW2723

Dec. 6, 2010, 7:10 a.m.
This is the reading of 09MOSCOW2723, the USA embassy in Russia. This document deals with importation of encrypted documents into Russian Federation. I'm reading this on my podcast for several reasons. Firstly, i believe that this sort of information should be public. Secondly, USA government currently tries to silence Wikileaks, and as such my reading is an act of social disobedience. And last, but not least, encryption is an integral part of the free speech in our age of censorship and fight for free speech

Dec. 6, 2010, 6:45 a.m.
This episode: is the WikiLeaks controversy really an intelligence op to create a public backlash against whistleblowers, journalists and internet freedom? Why is the mass media covering this story more than all the other indie media discoveries? Why are hot divas entertaining U.S. troops? How are we supposed to talk about the recession? Should we just get used to it and everything else? Why does veteran globalization researcher Fritz Springmeier want to make sure news junkies don't give up hope?

Abousfian Abdelrazik: in his own words

Dec. 5, 2010, 4:49 p.m.
Most Canadians first heard about the case of Abousfian Abdelrazik last year when a federal court judge ordered the Canadian government to allow him to return home from six years of exile in the Sudan. What most people don't know is that his story shows alarming parallels to that of Maher Arar. Nor do Canadians know that following his return to Canada, he is still unable to work, use a bank account or travel abroad. Abousfian Abdelrazik and Mary Foster of Project Fly Home have just completed a cross-country tour raising awareness about his current predicament and the complicity of CSIS and the Canadian government in his arrest and torture in Sudan. They spoke November 23 in Vancouver.

We speak with Robyn Duncan, Purcell Program Manager for Wildsight and Kathryn Teneese, Ktunaxa Nation Council Chair. For more information, check out Keep Jumbo Wild and Grizzly Bear Spirit.

Dec. 5, 2010, 1:28 p.m.

Today, on the Health Justice Radio Collective we speak with Dr. Rachlis.

BSTF 843 - LNI's MAGIC Show

Dec. 5, 2010, 8:15 a.m.
Dr. Bugsy's MAGIC Show! -- Dr Bugbladder of the Lymph Node Institute is at the FUNHOUSE helm tonight, and the theme is MAGIC! Bugsy's the unrestrained id of the LNI team, and as such he's delightfully tetched in the haid -- and this show is a perfect match of topic and controller. Using evil source material like "Magic Mongo" from Sid and Marty Krofft's CAPTAIN KOOL AND THE KONGS and a wealth of even more-obscure kids' LPs, Bugsy whips up a melange of multiple magical media memes that will cause violent synapse-clicks in a share of our demographic -- but hell, the doktor is, after all, a man of science who realizes that in the pursuit of knowledge, there WILL be casualties among the causalities. It's the price of progress, daisies.

Wikileaks fallout- Administration blocking war crimes and torture investigation

Dec. 5, 2010, 7:55 a.m.
It appears that something more substantial than discussing Sarkosy’s thinned skinned and authoritarian style or Qaddafi’s voluptuous Ukranian blonde was at stake in those recently released wikleaks diplomatic cables. In fact. Something deeply disappointing and a little sinister. In its first months in office, the Obama administration sought to protect Bush administration officials facing criminal investigation overseas for their involvement in establishing policies that governed interrogations of detained terrorist suspects—for attempting, in short, to legalize torture.
