A scythe requires external energy to manufacture, but once itâs made, it operates off of human power. Thatâs a good part of the reason why I bought a scythe and am learning to use it and maintain it.
A good scythe, in the right hands, can mow grass about as low as a lawn mower. Once the grass reaches a certain height, a person with a scythe can also mow faster, at least than the gasoline-powered push mower we use on our lawn.

He is an associate professor of sociology at City University of New York and he has been closely following the developments in Greece.
BC government cuts benefits for homeless and seriously ill

Following the provincial budget in March, the BC Liberals announced that they were cutting dental support, shelter allowance for the homeless and other services for the poorest people in the province. Martha Roberts is a registered midwife and organizer with the Alliance for People's Health. She outlines the nature of the cuts.
