Professor Vered Shemtov is the Eva Chernov Lokey Senior Lecturer and the Coordinator of the Modern Hebrew Language and Literature Program of Stanford University's Language Center.
She brought a terrific variety of music, some of her songs were played according to the moment such as the original version of B. B. King's hit, "The Thrill Is Gone."

As an Italian,I've always felt a certain kinship to the Irish. We're both fiercely passionate people. Unabashed and full of life and ready to celebrate it JOYFULLY at any given opportunity. We're both a people who lead with our hearts.
Or as Bruce Springsteen,who is half Italian (not only is he half Italian,but his grandfather was born in the same small town just outside of Naples that I was born,Vico Equense) so eloquently put it as he inducted U2 into the rock 'n roll hall of fame,"While the English occasionally have their refined sensibilities to overcome,we Irish and Italians have no such problem! We come through the door fists and hearts first!"

A federal Green Labeling Law would create a great amount of cancer prevention educational outreach. This is education that we all have a right to receive. We have the right to know what chemicals we are exposed to by way of food consumption and consumer product use. Green labeling would inform consumers of what carcinogens are present in foods and products. Elizabeth has worked for years toward eventual passage of such a law. You can become part of this work to create good public health laws.
