Canada's Prince of Pot, Marc Emery, is being extradited to the U.S., where he'll spend five years in jail for selling marijuana seeds online. This Vancouver businessman owns and operates Cannabis Culture Headquarters and Magazine, and has been a loud voice calling for the end of marijuana prohibition in Canada. Emery is now on a cross-country Farewell Tour.

UBC doctoral candidate Jennifer Jacquet says these campaigns are essentially meaningless in the context of oceans that have been depleted of 90% of their large fish. She says the only responsible choice is to stop eating fish entirely.

Why cyclists need separate lanes

Vancouver drivers who use the Burrard Street bridge are having to give up a lane to cyclists in a new 6-month experiment. John Pucher says separate lanes are the only way to get more people using bikes. Pucher is a cycling advocate from Rutgers University. He's embarking on a broad-range study of U.S. cities to see what cyclists need to be safe.
