Drying Out

July 5, 2021, 10:32 a.m.
This week on The Children's Hour, we are joined by Laura Paskus, a climate change and drought author, and environmental journalist with New Mexico PBS. She released a book, At the Precipice: New Mexicos Changing Climate, in September 2020 that discusses how climate change affects the state. We learn about drought, climate change and what we can do about it. Then Katie talks with meteorologist Daniel Porter from the National Weather Service in Albuquerque about the recent heatwave that brought new weather patterns to parts of world unaccustomed to extreme heat. Then the kids in the Extinction Diaries tell us about women African rangers who are saving species from extinction and arresting poachers without firing a single shot. We're learning about our changing climate this week, and all of it is mixed with excellent music.

Episode 2021.09. Why Fear the 2022 Midterm Election Progressives

July 5, 2021, 12:19 a.m.
After hearing so much about the historical trends dooming the Democrats chances at keeping the House and Senate beyond 2022, I decided to record this episode, calling for progressives to read the stars in order to see what is possible at this time in history. While I am not making any predictions for 2022, I believe with enough work and effort, history can be and will be made in November 2022, why – well listen to the episode to find out. Beyond the points made in the episode, I believe time, as astronomically constructed, is on the side of those who muster the energy to formulate a cosmically aligned vision for the planet. If the two youngest generations; Generation E (called Z by the mainstream press) and The Millennial Generations, can create the sort of tension necessary to force society in a different direction, humanity might be saved from a bleak nightmarish condition which will ultimately lead to our species death. Episode 2021.08. Society Will have to be Healed fore Its Diseased Beyond Instant Remedy

July 5, 2021, 12:15 a.m.
The Rust Belt, lends credibility to the primary idea expressed in this episode. America, as a society had decayed significantly over the past four decades; for this reason, any remedy sought by progressives or radicals mustn’t try to answer all ailments at once. Yes, there is a drastic need to address certain ailments right now, ailments requiring big societal changes (climate change heads that lists) but with those ideas, must come an understanding that any remedy, no matter how potent its application, will likely bare fruit slowly. Trust between the citizenry and its government will take time to patch up, trust between the citizenry period will require significant healing itself. This stated, we mustn’t loose hope that change will not bare fruit, we must grasp the need for patience and eternal optimism with a dash of unabashed realism, so that which we create doesn’t rely on false pretenses and lazy calculations. This episode explains why time is required and the meaning of decay in our society. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please contact me at vphiamer.adis.ogaarwa@outlook.com

Episode 2021.07.00. (From 2020) The Euro-American Third World War Against Democracy Both Home and Abroad

July 5, 2021, 12:10 a.m.
A Vault Episode from 2020, oh where to start? The War has been defined as Capitalists vs. Radicals; I believe in fact the war has been between Capitalist Republicans vs. Democratic Radicals or those who believe in Democracy as an active force used to both organize society and to control the instruments playing throughout society (by instruments I mean institutions when structured for the direct benefit of the public), versus, those who believe society should be governed for and by a select group who not only profits from the labor executed by the many, but sees the laborer as beholden to the whims, desires and wants of the select. Sure, the few who see themselves as the most brightest stars in the society will take exception to this description, but their actions are historically placed throughout the rise and fall of various civilizations; their missteps are well documented and their personal failings are indisputable when bygone eras are closely examined. Revising such truths only leads to delusion and decrepit personality quirks that fuel their obsession for more money and materialism, while fanning their ego, encouraging growth when deflation is required to save themselves, their world and ours. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please contact me at vphiamer.adis.ogaarwa@outlook.com

Episode 2021.06.00. To NeoConservatives who Want Redemption, it's Confession Time

July 5, 2021, 12:06 a.m.
I’ve been sitting on this episode since March, unsure when I would release it, but knowing it had to be given over to the public for its consideration. The title given to this episode, sums up the tone of the topic. The tone for the episode, especially the conception leading to its recording, is to corner those NeoCons claiming they’re reformed, challenging them to prove their claim with stark actions. Though not included in its content, a video I watch over three months after I recorded the episode showcases the bar these redemption seeking Conservatives will have to jump to prove their case. The video was an interview given by David Brock from the 1990s, titled Ex-Conservatives Exposes Deeply Flawed GOP. In that video he recounts how he was taken in by the right wing and, more importantly, how he turned away from its magnetic pull. While he ultimately became a Neoliberal, supporting Hillary and Bill Clinton; his message still should be heart with intrigue and hunger, for the movement he was once a part of, is now in the position to place this country on a track which it may not recover from. In this episode, I specifically call on the Lincoln Project to make good on their reformed claim, asking them to reveal to the people how they manipulated the public for their own gain. Reiki Energy Healing with Heather Finch

July 4, 2021, 12:37 p.m.
Reiki is a Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing. Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a "universal energy" is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. Wikipedia That's how Wikipedia defines Reiki healing. But what really IS Reiki energy? What's it good for? Who can use it and more importantly, is it finally the proof I've been looking for, that there is more to the world we live in besides the 3 dimensional, physical world we all see, feel and hear. To tackle this topic, I welcome to the show Reiki Master Teacher, Heather Finch.

Clairvoyance & What It Means To Be A Conscious Channel with Hollywood Healer Laura Saltman

July 4, 2021, 12:26 p.m.
My next guest is a mindfulness, meditation and metaphysical teacher. But to say just that would be to do her a tremendous disservice. She is what some people refer to as a 5 c’s clairvoyant…..She also uses her gifts of clairaudience, clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairempathy and has become a conscious channel and medium. But she hasn’t always lived in that world. In fact, you may best recognize her from her work in Hollywood (yes THAT Hollywood) as an Emmy-nominated producer and correspondent for such shows as Access Hollywood, E! News, Today, Designing Spaces and The Balancing Act. I'm absolutely humbled to welcome to the show, the incredibly talented Hollywood Healer……Laura Saltman

Duterte blocks racist ICC; Residential Schools Scandal

July 4, 2021, 12:08 p.m.
Phil begins the commentary by discussing the scandal of the 'Residential Schools' in Canada. He then talks about how Phillippines' President Duterte has recently stood up to the USA on several issues. First, he refused to denounce China at the US beck and call. Secondly, he is resisting the ICC as a "white people's court." Duterte is acting as if the Phillippines were a sovereign state. And Canada?

Dive into things like crystals, energy healing, Wicca, angels, Shamanism, Tarot, clairvoyance and SO. MUCH. MORE!

Blending history, political science, current events, chemistry, ecology, and several other academic disciplines, he surveys society's water policies and the probable disastrous results of failing to change them. Yussuff named to Senate, receives his reward.

July 2, 2021, 1:41 p.m.
In a follow-up interview with UNIFOR Local 222 Political Action Committee chair Tony Leah about the recent CLC convention, Phil notes that it only took 4 days for Justin Trudeau to promote past-CLC President Hassan Yussuff to the Canadian Senate. Yussuff has been doing favours for Trudeau for years: 1) Yussuff brought Trudeau to speak to a conference of young workers without consulting them. When the young workers physically turned their backs on Trudeau it generated publicity and support. Yussuff chastised them. 2) Yussuff issued an endorsement for Trudeau's former Finance Minister, Bill Morneau, for election as OECD Secretary-General that purported to be jointly issued by the CLC and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Yussuff had failed to consult anyone and most CLC-affiliated unions condemned his action. 3) Yussuff also stayed on as CLC President - in order to forward the Trudeau agenda and keep collecting his salary - after his union, UNIFOR, quit the CLC. For more on the Yussuff legacy and a "new pulse" for the CLC, listen in to this interview.
