Episode 2018.01. A New Vision for America and the World and its Eventual Occupy-Style Backlash
March 26, 2018, 1:27 p.m.
After a three and a half month (unplanned) hiatus, I am Back with a whole new episode. While the planning for the new format continues, this show is the first published in this new year and it is the first I recorded for the new year (recorded in January, circumstances outside my control prevented its publishing). It is, a spiritual journey into the need to create a new world vision; it is literally a spiritual calling to the Millennials (born 1980 â 2010 or 1985 â 2010) to rise to the occasion, the trumpeting sound rises over the horizon calling forward our destiny. I begin the episode with a voice mail I left for The Best of the Left Podcast, a voice mail ultimately played on an episode, far from its appearance here being an ego stroking exercise, the voice mail (recently discovered) sets the tone for the forthcoming show content. It is preceded by a clip from Noam Chomsky and a man named Ben Shapiro who needs a history lesson on what Capitalism really is. Then the meet of the show, my commentary. Enjoy!

March 25, 2018, 6:16 p.m.
Ernestus Jiminy Chald's simulation of a weaponized radio broadcast capable of transmitting an auricular pathogen over the airwavesâa sonic contagion that infiltrates the listeners' ears, leaving them afflicted with a terminal auditory infection.
Imagine, if you will, that your radio is terminally ill. Now imagine that the terminal illness your radio suffers from is actually contagious, and that, by listening to your radio, your ears have become infected with this incurable malady. This is the concept behind âInfectious Airwavesâ

"Mingle-Mangle"
March 25, 2018, 2:47 p.m.
"Mingle-Mangleâ is the auditory equivalent of a long-form internet meme. Using a combination of found sound recordings and original compositions, Ernestus Jiminy Chald followed a rigid set of seemingly arbitrary rules and constraints in the construction of this program, making it almost Oulipian in execution. At times disturbing, at times
hilarious, at times hilariously disturbing, âMingle-Mangleâ is the type of program that leaves the listener feeling violated, enlightened, and confused, as all great works of art should.

#525 -- The Second Coming . . .
March 25, 2018, 2:20 p.m.
Artists & social critics have used the idea of the Second Coming of Christ as a metaphor to highlight social ills. (Bumper sticker: "Christ has come ... and boy, is He p***ed!") We hear & look at 4 works of art that do this: Lenny Bruce's "Christ and Moses" routine, a Langston Hughes story featuring the Harlem character "Simple," W.B. Yeats's poem "The Second Coming," and The Police's song "Synchronicity II"--which is pretty much Yeats's poem, updated & set to music.
