Between impending nuclear annihilation and the President of the United States seeming to endorse white supremacists, you may have missed the dismantling of the Environmental Protection Agency. This week on Sea Change Radio, we speak with Brendan OâConnor, a reporter for Gizmodo Media who has recently written an extensive piece chronicling the evangelical community and the elements behind the movementâs embrace of climate change denialism â and the politicians, oil companies and think tanks connected to it all. We look at the history of the movement, its leaders and discuss the unlikely alliance between the evangelical right and Donald Trump.

Over the course of the hour, the discussion will delve into the true reasons for the Korean War, the intended target of the THAAD anti-missile system, the prospect of Trump's unpredictable foreign policy as a Nixonian 'Madman' strategy, the disturbing normalization of the use of nuclear weapons within Washington's civilian bureaucracy, and the necessary conditions for reversing the drift toward a third and final world war.

Rabab Abdulhadi on the Zionist claim that promoting BDS creates an "unsafe environment" for Jewish students
Aug. 14, 2017, 7:38 p.m.
On This Week In Palestine we have been following the attempts of the Zionist propaganda machine to silence Palestinian voices and movements on campuses across the country such as Students for Justice in Palestine and the BDS Movement. We often hear how Jewish students complain that such voices, movements and organizations create an âunsafeâ environment for them, and that pro Palestinian political activity is anti-Semitic.
Such allegations were made by Jewish students during the hearing on the anti BDS bill at the Massachusetts State House on July 18th concerning Tufts University. However, Tufts professor Tom Abowd, following his testimony before the Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight, was questioned about this alleged activity at Tufts by a member of the committee. Prof. Abowdâs response was that just the opposite was true. It was Zionist students who were on the offense at Tufts, and individual examples of harrassment of Jewish students could not be cited. The fallback position of the Zionist students was that political activity opposing the Israeli occupation of Palestine was anti-Semitic and created an unsafe climate on campus for Jewish students. Period. That seems to be the talking point on several campuses across the country as Israel tries to amp up opposition to the successful and growing Palestinian led, BDS campaign.
One of the campuses where pushback against pro Palestinian activity is most virulent is San Francisco State University. There, a courageous and outspoken Palestinian professor, Rabab Abdulhadi is under attack by the Zionist factions on campus. Today she tells her story. This presentation was recorded live by This Week in Palestine at the Truro Public Library.

North Korea builds nuclear deterrent
Aug. 14, 2017, 5:25 p.m.
The U.S. government realizes that North Korea is on the cusp of developing a nuclear weapons program capable of retaliation against the United States. They are therefore taking steps to prevent this program from coming to fruition. Key to the U.S. strategy is the prevention of the DPRK from developing the ability to defend itself.
It's forgotten today that the United States is the power that introduced nuclear weapons to the Korean peninsula. The U.S. administration has regularly referred to the annihilation of North Korea, 'wiping it from the map' and such, since the end of the Korean War. This lunacy is not solely the policy of Donald Trump, but represents a longstanding policy of the U.S. threatening genocide.
Of course North Korea is a garrison state and a militarized state - it is forced to do so. But nobody ever mentions this.
Let's get real about who is the provocateur here: North Korea threatened to hit Guam after a U.S. general mentioned that his army had drawn up plans for pre-emptive war on North Korea. If the U.S. wants to threaten pre-emptive strikes, the DPRK can do the same.
