Pappe and Finkelstein respond to the slings and arrows of the Zionists' media storytellers
April 2, 2017, 8:09 p.m.
Today we deal with the contrasting Palestinian and Zionist narratives that drive the debate on the Israel/Palestine struggle. The two narratives often clash in various forums where they are presented and debated. This week we present illustrative portions of two such forums. In the first, the Palestinian narrative is presented by Ilan Pappe; in the second, by Norman Finkelstein.
Pappe and Finkelstein are rightly recognized for their willingness to challenge the Zionists' false narrative in forums throughout the worldâ¦to expose themselves to the slings and arrows of those who denigrate their work and try to discredit the Palestinian narrative, which, as we will see, is standing up well to international scrutiny and increasingly being accepted by the international community.
First, we hear Pappe responding to outrageous Zionist pummeling on an Australian talk show. After that, we hear Finkelstein play a similar role in a debate televised on RT.

Episode 2017.09 - Should Dr. King's Legacy, His Ideas for the World, Be Discarded? Wrestling With his Contradictions
April 2, 2017, 3:34 a.m.
Does Dr. King live on in this increasingly turbulent world? In papers, videos, audio clips and photographs, yes â but his ideals â hmmm that is harder to answer. Should his legacy find the garbage can, that too is hard to answer, yet this is what I seek to do in this podcast. Possibly the heaviest podcast of the previous month or two, although my Trump podcasts havenât actually been feather lite either, but I digress â I delve into King, I delve into the lefts love for him and why he was feared by the government, I also ask your help with helping his legacy reach more eyes and ears

Trump May Be America's Nero
April 1, 2017, 5:55 p.m.
For someone with a sober and socialist eye the latest peculiar American President, Donald Trump, may embody a sign of an empire in decline. All recent Presidents, Obama most notably, have provided rhetoric about peace and economic uplift, yet little has changed.
The bombings go on, racism abides, and those in the top job seem disconnected. Jerome reminds listeners that Einstein was alarmed by Americaâs embrace of militarism, which he said resembled the German phenomenon, and he advocated socialism as a solution.

#474 -- 50th Anniversary of MLK's "Beyond Vietnam"
April 1, 2017, 10:54 a.m.
Major portions of one of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s finest--yet now little-known--speeches. He delivered "Beyond Vietnam" in New York, on April 4, 1967.
For this speech, King was denounced by the entire Establishment (including the NAACP!) and the corporate-controlled media. The speech is a stirring indictment of misplaced national priorities, including cutbacks in social programs at home in order to fund an unnecessary, counterproductive, and evil war abroad.

White Terrorist Murders African-American Timothy Caughman
April 1, 2017, 10:47 a.m.
Say His Name: TIMOTHY CAUGHMAN!
Confronting Terror Attacks Against African-Americans,
Resisting White Supremacy, Combating White Nationalism!
Timothy Caughman, 66, was a former social worker, who, in his retirement years, had taken to recycling to keep busy and help pay his rent. Caughman was African-American, which made him a target for his professed killer, who stabbed him
to death with a sword, a white supremacist who admitted traveling to NYC from Baltimore to kill a Black man because "New York is the media capital of the world". The killing of Timothy Caughman was a hate crime and an act of terrorism.
We should also think of it as a lynching, the latest episode in an American form of racial violence that stretches back to the 19th century. To describe this attack as a lynching is to emphasize the reality of anti-black violence, its persistence through time, and the way in which its justified and the failure of our society to fully excavate our past to grapple with the present. By understanding Timothy Caughmans murder as a lynching, we gain clarity into how racial violence is more than hate"how its meant to enforce racial caste by making an example of any unfortunate person of African ancestry who circumstantially crossed the path of the white supremacist. We must understand Timothy Caughmans murder as a modern lynching, for we have yet to understand and grapple with the legacy of racial oppression and its current manifestations as a society.
To call Timothy Caughmans murder an act of terrorism is also to re-contextualize the age of lynching as an earlier age of terrorism, forgotten by most, but whose wounds still fester and which scars remain prevalent in the collective memories of African-Americans.
And there is a political context for white supremacy and white nationalism flaring up anew. President Trump, has yet to comment on the extraordinary murder of Timothy Caughman, issue condolences
to his family, or condemn this act of terror.
He did choose to relate to and send a message of condolence about an American victim of terrorism in London. Trump never
condemned the January shooting at a Qubec mosque that took six lives, and it took him a week to condemn the killing of an Indian computer engineer in Kansas. "J'accuse ...!" Black Lives Matter: Timothy Caughmans death renews the challenge for us to tear out root and branch, the cultural, social, economic and political systemic manifestations of racism and the impediments to equality. Say HIS NAME: TIMOTHY CAUGHMAN!
Episode 2017.08 - Health Care, Health Care, Decide All About it, Or Not
April 1, 2017, 3:18 a.m.
Sigh, it was a cold day in the Nationâs Capital, rain fell upon the shoulder of the recently elected Commander and Chief, in his right hand, a phone, his left hand dialed quickly House Majority Leader Paul Ryanâs Office, why, because two minutes ago the President learned the Majority Leader would be snatching the bill off the floor closing off any possibility Healthcare âReformâ would occur before the showdown on the budget begins. The President was furious, his aides had assured him prior to taking office such âReformâ was what voters desired and demanded, but President Muslim Worshiper, a usurper to White House throne refused to direct his many Czars to obey the will of âthe peopleâ, crafting legislation beneficial to both citizens and corporations in the process. His hand tightened as the phone rang, there was no answer â what was he to do, the press was on their way, Bannon had informed him moments earlier, hoping to gloat, he presumed, at this legislative defeat.
Okay, this didnât actually happen, but itâs a better retelling then what did happen, this Episode is not just about health care, in fact itâs mostly about other things, but you donât want to hear about the topics discussed, youâre about to listen to it, so just rest assured, if youâve listened to CWB you know Iâll discuss some stuff, throw some other stuff in for fun, then possibly open up a new topic moments before the showâs ending â Enjoy
