I've decided to revive Radio Thrift Shop for a new batch of shows for 2017. Radio Thrift Shop is a show that evolves and changes every few months. RTS is primarily an homage to the underground era of broadcasting & the freeform radio broadcasts of the 1960's and early 1970's. Radio Thrift Shop features a homegrown mix of old radio shows and documentaries, vinyl records, 78s, 45's, LPs, private press releases, and a variety of cassette tapes and homemade / self released cds. Each edition features a unique playlist of music released between the early 20th century & next week.
Trump's Continuing War on Immigrants
Feb. 11, 2017, 11:13 a.m.
Trump's Continuing War on Immigrants
With
Justin Flores , Vice President, Farm Labor Organizing Committee
Andrea Christina Mercado Campaign Director at the National Domestic Worker Alliance
Carlos Jimenez, Executive Director Metro Washington Council, AFL-CIO
While a Federal Appeals Panel unanimously rejected President Trumps bid to reinstate his ban on travel into the United States from seven largely Muslim nations, a related threat now to undocumented immigrants by one of Trump's prior Executive Orders on immigrants already in the U.S. is surfacing. Guadalupe Garca de Rayos , a 35-year-old mother of two, was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Phoenix on Feb. 9th and deported to Mexico, a country she left 21 years ago, because she used a false social security card in Phoenix in 2008. Trump persists in the absurd claim that America will be safe and great again only after an assault on bad dudes and criminal aliens, like Guadalupe Garca de Rayos whom he has promised to arrest and remove by the millions. Building Bridges talks with three union organizers who believe that immigrant rights and labor rights are interrelated and that we must fight to defend the rights of undocumented and other immigrants.

This weekâs archive radio show starts off wondering whether or not humanity will receive any awards if â as scientists are predicting â we are the last of all the higher life form to survive the upcoming Apocalypse! Then, we describe how said Apocalypse is being greatly facilitated by the Democratic Party! Next, the Thunderbolt ponders the meaning behind some of Seymour Hershâs exposes last year, once again revisiting the universally ignored fact that while there is indeed an epic battle for actual votes â our presidential elections are ultimately decided by a few rigged voting machines in a few key states these days â meaning that our president is whoever Goldman $achs says that it is.
Then, for the feature piece this week, we have a long expose upon the direct role that Israel plays in the oppression of civilian populations all over the planet. A lot of stuff here that you probably donât know about â but you know that you can always count upon the Thunderbolt for all the news thatâs fit to suppress!

Out of the Woods - Show #358 - 2-18-17
Feb. 9, 2017, 12:43 p.m.
This version of the program is divided into 6 segments so broadcasters who desire to use this content can insert your station info, etc. The segments vary in length.
Out of the Woods is an earthy, wires and wood, mostly acoustic program featuring some of the best new and established artists from the worlds of folk, bluegrass, singer-songwriters, alt.country, Americana, classic country, old-time, Celtic, and everything that falls in between. The show is an unpredictable mix flowing like a river between moods, often with an edge or in a melancholy minor key. On occasion, Out of the Woods features interviews and live in-studio performances with national and international touring musicians. Past guests have included artists such as Bela Fleck, Si Kahn, Brown Bird, Dana Robinson, Steve Gillette & Cindy Mangsen, Kate MacLeod, Bill Bourne, Karl Shiflett, Rachel Bissex, Darryl Purpose, Bow Thayer, Cosy Sheridan and many others. Out of the Woods grew out of Jon 'Chip' Colcord's former acoustic programs, The Song Swap and Music For The Mountain, separate folk and bluegrass programs which aired in New Hampshire during the 1990s. As a child, Colcord grew up a ravenous music fan with an ear for both rock and folk. All of these influences converge on Out of the Woods to bring you a mix which is as much on the edge as it is down home. Folk music with a rock 'n' roll soul
