I've decided to revive Radio Thrift Shop for a new batch of shows for 2017. Radio Thrift Shop is a show that evolves and changes every few months. RTS is primarily an homage to the underground era of broadcasting & the freeform radio broadcasts of the 1960's and early 1970's. Radio Thrift Shop features a homegrown mix of old radio shows and documentaries, vinyl records, 78s, 45's, LPs, private press releases, and a variety of cassette tapes and homemade / self released cds. Each edition features a unique playlist of music released between the early 20th century & next week.

Ohara Airport Rally and Press Conference -
Feb. 3, 2017, 9:06 p.m.
Sunday night protest at airport and press conference calling for end to travel ban. More than a thousand people showed up.
The event was called for 6 pm; the press conference was forced to move out of the International terminal onto the street
outside. Federal, State, County and Chicago politicians spoke in solidarity of the people detained and denied travel to the US. Hatem Abuddayeh from the AAAN lists the groups in coalition contesting the Trump Administration's illegal, unconstitutional travel ban. People were still arriving in solidarity with
home made signs at 8:30 pm when I departed.
