The strike involves pay and benefit issues such as the loss of premium health care, holiday and vacation pay and reduced retirement benefits and creating an inherently racist two-tier system, that would create a transitional class of employees with lower pay and benefits. Adding insult to injury the billion dollar profit company is threatening to move jobs out of the county, has brought in scabs and has started sending out pink slips.
