We listen to two pieces on Black august, by Kumasi and Mumia Abu Jamal. Later in the show, we interview Kim Ives of Haiti Liberté, Haiti’s largest weekly, on Wyclef Jean’s candidacy for the President of Haiti, and discuss the political context of this move by a figure whose family and personal history has consisted of nothing less than support for dictatorship in Haiti at a time when the Haitian masses are massively boycotting the farcical electoral system in Haiti.
