I am looking forward to the Richmond Folk Festival, and I am also looking forward to rolling out the fall fashions tonight at 7 on the Edge of Americana with co-host Josh. Don't know exactly what Josh will be bringing in his clothes trunk, but I will playing fiddle and string band stylings from Josh's Clifftop buddies, including Rachel Eddy, Jason Romero, Luke Abbott and Bill Christophersen. Flair and eccentric color from Charlie Burse, Joseph Spence, Kristen Hersh and Bill Frisell. And, just like that fashion staple, the navy blazer, old-time and folk blues fundamentals from the likes of E.C. Ball, Bob Paisley, Mississippi John Hurt and Fred McDowell. It's going to be a balanced fashion palette this week on The Edge of Americana, and you can hear all the fun tonight at 7. And as always, it's just good music.
