Mackay broke Orchard's critical condition for support, namely that he would not merge the party with the Canadian Alliance, a right of centre US Republican-style party led by Stephen Harper. This episode looks back at that convention, the Orchard campaign, and some of the activities that played out during that leadership bid with implications for the current government in Ottawa.
