He is also a National Lawyers Guild attorney and has worked with Brazilian attorneys to provide support in bringing international pressure to expose the legislative coup in Brazil.

He speaks on the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff in 2016 as part of a soft parliamentary coup; the conviction of Lula and barring his running for election in order to complete the coup; and the first round of the election and what it portends for Brazil. With declining profits, due to a retracting economy and falling commodity prices, international capital wanted an end to the social programs that the Workers Party had implemented
