New US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo visited Saudi Arabia and lashed out at Iran, calling it the greatest sponsor of terrorism in the world. Israel remains the sole possessor of nuclear weapons in the middle east, while Trump is expected to disavow the Iran nuclear agreement. At the weekly Palestinian protests, Israeli soldiers continue to kill unarmed demonstrators, children, and journalists, and follow up with night time bombing in the Gaza Strip. The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights criticized the Israeli military response to non-threatening protests, saying willful killings are a breach of the 4th Geneva Convention.

"The people of Nicaragua were suffering oppression. This made us develop an awareness which eventually led us to commit ourselves to the struggle against the domination of the capitalists of our country in collusion with the U.S. government, i.e. imperialism."
