The International Association of Women in Radio and Television, founded in 1949, promotes recognition, safety, and solidarity of women in journalism professions. For women's history month, here is a panel comprised of their members, describing the severe risks women journalists faced from investigative reporting in 2016. Today in 2024, the terrorization and killing of journalists - perhaps especially women journalists - continues around the world. But many are still braving those risks to speak truth to power.
