Amb The scene was calm but intense outside Andala Café in Central Sq. on Thrusday, Sept. 5, 2014, as hundreds gathered, trying to get the limited amount of tickets available for a unique event. Prof. Noam Chomsky was to give one of his critiques on the current situation in Gaza. It is not unusual for Noam to publicly address this issue. What was unusual is that instead of a large lecture hall, he was doing it in a small café. The response was almost overwhelming. Andala Café is owned by a Palestinian family. Riana, a member of café, hosted the event. She laid out the ground rules and purpose of having Noam Chomsky in this setting.
