Script/Transcript for program: Freedom Rally XVIII
It was a very mellow and peaceful scene on the Boston Common on Saturday Sept. 16th. This was the 28th annual Freedom Rallyâ¦not to be confused with the Free Speech Rally. These folks were about love. Primarily about love of weed, and related hemp products, but also a love for lifeâs pleasures along with a mutual respect of the thousands of fellow attendees.
Some were there to hawk their wares, while others just grooved on the scene.
MassCann (the Massachusetts Cannibals Reform Coalition is the sponsoring organization. For 27 years, these dedicated activists, rallied for legal marijuana. Now that it is here, this event took on more of a celebratory mode rather then a protest. I asked John Dvorak, a long time supporter of Marijuana legalization, if there was a need to continue with this event.
