THIS IS A ONE HOUR SPEECH in two parts. Part One:Corporate power in the US. Part TWO: The compromises John Kerry made and how to rebuild democracy in 4 election cycles.
Note: Camejo spoke at the same event.
Peter Camejo and Ralph Nader
US Presidential Elections 2004
On October 11, 2004 Ralph Nader and Peter Camejo appeared before a standing room only audience of over 2000 at UC Berkeley's Zellerbach Hall. They point to the overwhelming world-wide consensus regarding the US war on Iraq. From Europe to Africa, Asia and Latin America, the war is condemned
while the two presidential candidates debate how to wage it more efficiently.
Whatever the outcome of the current election, the issues raised by Camejo and Nader are vitally important for our future domestic and foreign policies; among them reasons for the demise of US democracy, the electoral rules that leave us with a dysfunctional two party system, growing corporate power, global warming and the impending end of oil.
