Yves Engler does a remarkable job outlining the latest details of Justin Trudeau's interventionist foreign policy regarding Venezuela, a policy that operates through the Lima Group and on behalf of the Trump Administration. Ironically, as the Lima Group ratchets up support for Venezuelan imposter Juan Guaido, support for his coup is rapidly waning inside Venezuela.

The Trudeau government's role in hosting the meeting of the Lima Group in Gaitneau, Quebec on Feb 20, 2020 is closely intertwined with his participation in the Core Group on Haiti, by which mechanism the USA, France, and Canada persuaded their coup government in Port-au-Prince to join the Lima Group.
