Workers and students gathered starting as early as 4:30 AM this morning to set up a strike line at the Base Entrance to UCSC. As more community members arrived groups set up a precence at the West Gate as well, letting arriving students, staff, workers, a

2-11am Matt approx 500 at main entrance
most all cars turning away from campus.
Undercover police reported in crowd diffused by protestors no arrests so far.
3- 12noon Alexis at update b4 rally
right before rally peacefull protest
4- 1:30 Sandino Sutdown main entrance
Intersection Bay/High blocked and shut down
5- 2:30-3pm Bradley West entrance SHUTDOWN
March to west entrance sitdown shutdown
6- 3pm Sandino main entrance
still shutdown negoiations w/cops still striking

Still sitting down blocking entrance successful
