 Jeff Moore
 For non-profit use only.
In late October 2005 Jeff Moore, a carpenter from Bainbridge Island Washington, packed up his tools and drove to New Orleans to volunteer in the recovery efforts. This is his first-person account.
Recording and editing by AltBuzz
Jeff Moore offers a unique perspective on events from three weeks spent in New Orleans following hurricane Katrina. He gives a totally candid account of events as he saw them. He met Malik Rahim of The Common Ground Collective <> and was plunged immediately into the intense labor of rebuilding the city. Jeff ends up rubbing elbows, in a workaday way, with many of the prominent personalities that have been spicing up our national news clips.

These three half-hour narratives make an invaluable part of the record, especially for researchers and journalist wanting confirming sources.

At the time of the recording Jeff Moore was talking through a head cold. Most of his coughing and throat-clearing were edited out, which accounts for the somewhat choppy effect that experts will be able to detect.
