It's a sign of the times that a lecture on economic globalization would pack the house at the Bainbridge Island Public Library. For those who get most of their information from corporate newcasts this is the part they don't want you to know. It's not difficult, corporate news simple never brings it up.

This is a recording of Mel Leiman's lecture on Nov. 9, 2005.

Mel Leiman is a retired professor of Economics from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton. He is author of the classic text book, "The Political Economy of Racism". He now lives and teaches on Bainbridge Island WA, a 30-min ferry ride from Seattle.
