Jeff Healey's appearance in Victoria in August 2006 was his first time back to Vancouver Island in 4 years. Well-known as a brilliant blues guitarist, he is deeply involved with jazz music, especially of the 20's and 30's era. He plays trumpet and occasional guitar with the Jazz Wizards. He hosts "My Kinda Jazz" on JazzFm (www.jazz.fm) in Toronto Mondays 9-11pm (EST) featuring jazz from the 20's and 30's.
This recording features Jeff's reflections woven through selections of his music from the CD's: Among Friends, Adventures in Jazzland, and It's Tight Like That (featuring Chris Barber).
