The former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney spoke in London, UK, in September 2007 about Martin Luther King and the plans for him to become the running mate of Bobbie Kennedy in his bid for the US presidency.

The former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney was introduced by Annie Machon who quit her job at the British spy agency MI5 in protest over MI5 plans to assassinate the Libyan leader Muammar Gadafy.

In 1992 Cynthia McKinney made history when she became the first African American woman to represent Georgia in the United States House of Representatives.

McKinney voted against record Bush administration military budgets, and challenged the Pentagon to explain how it "lost" over $2.3 trillion in un-traceable transactions. She continues to decry the Bush administration's sweetheart deals with Halliburton, the Carlyle Group, and DynCorp; and she speaks out against the loss of fundamental freedoms under the Bush administration.

McKinney lost her congressional seat when an estimated 40,000 Republicans voted in the Georgia Democratic Primary to oust her. It is called "crossover" voting and her supporters filed a lawsuit against this practice.
