HALIFAX - Hundreds of Haligonians took to the streets and marched around the commons, some wearing matching t-shirts, others in rain ponchos and others waving flags of solidarity. September 1st was Labour Day, and it was celebrated by the Canadian Labour Congress, the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour, the Nova Scotia Union of Pipe Fitters, Canadian Auto Workers and others.
