Christine tells her story of how she almost died after not receiving proper medical treatment from the privatized health services at the Alouette Correctional Centre for Women in Maple Ridge, BC.

**This interview is self-contained with an intro and extro**

Christine almost died from complications after a lack of timely medical attention at a BC prison.

And now she is suing BC Corrections to ensure that a brush with death doesn't happen to others who are sentenced to time in jail.

She also connects her experience of medical neglect to the privatization of health services in BC jails.

Christine is a peer researcher with the Women into Healing project looking at the health of prisoners and ex-prisoners.
