Ramanathan explains global dimming, and proliferation of polllution over the globe as a temporary cooling or masking agent - which hides the real warming already waiting for us. Seconded by top German scientist Hans Joachim Schellnhuber who advises Chancellor Merkel, and Barry Brook from Australia (with more on those shocking fires).

This is one of my most important programs: it shows (I think) that we have passed the point of climate tipping. The climate is already shifting rapidly. The only remaining question within our control is how fast, and how bad will we make it - with our continued pollution of the atmosphere.
