"Joe Convict", a prisoner who has been in segregation for several months in an Ontario prison, talks of his struggle with the prison authorities and his fight for human rights behind bars.

"Joe" has been in segregration for over six months in a medium security prison in Ontario.
He talks of how he ended up in the hole because of trying to set up this interview and because of a human rights complaint that he is filing.
He shares stories of the abuse and neglect he has faced as a prisoner. He talks about inadequate health care, the ineffective prison grievance procedure, his writing, and the disrespect and lack of humanity he sees dished out from the prison system on a daily basis.
This interview was set up and recorded by Liam from Prison Radio on CKUT community radio in Montreal.
"Joe" did not want to use his real name because of concerns about the response of the prison to the airing of this interview.
