Interview with Mo Korchinski, a former prisoner in Maple Ridge. She is studying the phenomenon of Post Incarceration Syndrome. It's believed to be one of the leading causes of recidivism amongst newly released prisoners. Mo is trying to educate prisoners about the condition so that they won't re-offend.

A former prisoner in Maple Ridge is trying to stop other women from re-offending. Mo Korchinski is a community-based researcher with a group called Women Into Healing. Sheâs conducting research on whatâs called Post Incarceration Syndrome â or PICS for short. PICS has been found to be one of the leading factors contributing to recidivism amongst former prisoners.
