Rania Masri has been one of the foremost activists in oppostion to Iraqi sanctions but does not see this struggle in isolation, insisting that legitimate activists have to see that issue and that of the Palestinian intifada in the same global context of the protests against the World Bank, the IMF, the WTO etc. During the call-in portion of the show, when a caller claims that Israel has been showing "restraint" in its treatment of the Palestinians, Masri responds brilliantly with facts and passion not usually heard on a community radio station.
