"Annabel Before the War: Only What I See," is a story of a traveling woman: a young woman, traveling alone in Europe long ago. In 1937, Annabel Drazen Rosenblum left her home in St. Louis and went to France and Italy on an art scholarship. This was just as Nazi Germany began to overrun and control France. And to imprison and kill French Jews. The young Annabel is Jewish.
This story is written and read by Annabel’s niece, author Joy Passanante, after she traveled to France and Italy in her aunt’s footsteps nearly 70 years later.
Executive Producer is Sandi Billings.
