Please note that the Radio4All website will be moving over to new server hardware on August 2nd starting at 10 AM Pacific/1PM Eastern. The work should last two to three hours. During that time, the server will be offline.
Welcome to the new Radio4all website! If you cannot log in, you may need to reset your password. Email here if you need additional support.
Your support is essential if the service is to continue, there are bandwidth bills to pay every month and failing disk drives to replace. Volunteers do the work, but disk drives and bandwidth are not free. We encourage you to contribute financially, even a dollar helps. Click here to donate.Welcome to the new Radio4all website! 2 complementary views on the failures of U.S. public education from 2 strange-bedfellow educational reformers--the proletarian Libertarian, J.T. Gatto (= part 3 of his talk); and the patrician Left-Liberal, Jonathan Kozol. Both are experienced, insightful, & fine speakers. Surprisingly, they agree on about 94% of issues--though not on the best solution. Radically reform the system (Kozol) or instead nuke it (Gatto)?
Gatto talk excerpted from a recording on www.johntaylorgatto.com. Excerpts from Kozol talk in Portland, OR (late 2005). Thanks to Alternative Radio for making a recording of the complete talk available. "New World Notes" is produced for WWUH-FM, "Public Alternative Radio," a community service of the University of Hartford. Feedback to kdowst at hotmail period com.
