In the wake of Obama's surge in long occupied Afghanistan, Empire Watch speaks with NH Peace Action member Thomas Lee, Ph.D, recently retired after thirty-five years as a biology professor at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. He is a longtime social activist and a member of New Hampshire Peace Action. He served on Dennis Kucinich’s campaign staff. He is a frequent contributor to Encyclopedia Americana and is the author of five books, including several on genetic engineering. His most recent book is Battlebabble: Selling War in America. In Battlebabble Lee shares his conviction that war is not the final solution to international conflicts, but a totally unacceptable alternative, ravaging its perpetrators as well as its intended victims.
