Carl Djerassi is a professor of Chemistry, emeritus, at Stanford University. Winner of both the National Medal of Science (for the first synthesis of an oral contraceptive) and the National Medal of Technology, founder of the Djerassi Resident Artists Program, fiction author, and playwright. Professor Djerassi talks about his latest book, "Four Jews on Parnassus" which is a docudrama published by Columbia University Press (2008). Professor Djerassi also talks about the course he's teaching at Stanford which combines two disciplines-Drama and Chemistry. Professor Djerassi uses theatre to bring scientific issues to the stage. Professor Djerassi will teach an evening course at Stanford this Winter Quarter 2010 called "Science-in-Theatre."
